Looking into buying another hdtv. I have an lcd already, but i need something bigger for the living room. Plasma's are looking a little cheaper so i'm just want to know are these things as bad as I hear? Last time I really looked at one and played a game on it was back when Tekken 5 came out (the screen did a really bad job keeping up with the speed of our button presses and I could see where images were "burned" into the screen.

Apparently, they have new technologies and shit that fixed these issues but i'm interested in hearing some testimonies from any of you that might own one. What's the life span like on newer models? Does the screen-wipe feature these tv's have keep shit from burning on your screen? Is it worth it to get one just to save a few bucks? I'll be sure to ask at the stores when i'm shopping around but they don't always tell you what's real. Thanks

DLP Tv's are the way to go.

Like any other tv, DLP also have their cons but IMO it is they are the best tv's u can get. Especially if u have a wii/ps3 or xbox 360

Aren't the DLP's like tube tv's in terms of size? Are they huge in the back or a good bit smaller than regular tube tv's?

Yeah but they are waaaay smaller in the back than regular tv's. The new ones can be as short as 2 fist put togheter.
