Seriously, the vast majority of 2D players in WI play 3S as their primary/secondary game. And 3S is hugely popular with out-of-towners.

Whenever we held 3S tourneys at past AC events, we got at least 8-10, and that was WI players alone. I'm sure if IL came, and random others came, we'd have a full 16 bracket.

3S WILL be there. I'll be running it (with Jose's blessing). I have to work out the specifics (unsure of 3S pot structure/bonuses), but 3S will be run.

Fuck, even if it falls through (if prizes aren't sufficient), there will be hella casuals, with more back at my crib (live 10minutes away from arcade).

To clarify for the 3S heads -

3S tourney = PS2. Not 3S arcade.

There will be a $6-8 entry fee (will be discussed at tourney), and a $50 pot bonus paid to the winner only (regardless of out of state status). This $50 pot bonus is in place of Jose's $100 out of state bonus.

Let me repeat. The $50 any-state winner bonus replaces the $100 out-of-state bonus

The reason I wanted to give the winner the $50 bonue is because of the expected lower turnout than Tekken 5:DR. It's all up to the 3S players who do come. Spread the $50 through the top 3 places, or winner get the $50 bonus to himself. Whatever.

The good word is fuck working at Best Buy 40 hours a week and spending the rest of time at school. I haven't touched 3s since we played and it saddens me inside. I'm going to try and bring some more competition for you guys at this tourney. Be prepared for the awesome.

* $50 bonus to winner (any-state)

* Start-time will be around 1/2pm.

* Entry is set at $6 per person.

* PS2 version, one setup.

* BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER/STICK. NONE WILL BE PROVIDED.

* Double-elimination, be prepared for a brisk tourney pace, I don't fuck around with unnecessary delays.

* Normal pot breakdown, plus the $50 to winner bonus.

* Normal game rules (no Gill, game freezing glitches, etc...)

* For the sake of Jesus, button mapping is OK, but macro-mapping (assigning two or more commands to one button) is NOT OK. If you really need macros in order to win, you don't deserve to play the game, period.

* PM me for any questions. I will be there on Saturday at 10:30/11am setting up, playing casuals. Sign-ups will begin when I get there, and end moments leading up the actual start time (to give you slackers some breathing room).

3S is starting at 1:30/2pm. HOWEVER, if everyone is there that's going to be there earlier than that, then we can start at that time. 2pm is the absolute latest it will start.

Tekken 5 - DR is at 2:30pm, and SLASH is at 3pm. Staggered starts to ensure less overlapp, but still get the hell out of there at a normal hour.
