Hi.
I am decently new to marvel and coming along fine. One thing I seem to have trouble deciding on is counters during a match. I often can think of several ways to counter someone, but I am never usre of the best way.
Today I was playing a guy that used rogue/storm/tron. Pretty much a rush down team and style of play. I was using santhrax. With storm on point, would it be best to generally rush or run vs a team like this? Storms rush down is superior compared to rogues, yet rouge seems to be a rushdown char. What I am asking is, would the best option be to rush down, or run away. Should I go about killing rouge with storm by out rushing her, or simply do the opposite and run away.
Another thing that seems to get me is getting in on people. Some people love their AA assist and I seem toget hit a lot by them and can not stay in. If I planned on rushing a lot with storm, would cyke be a better assist? How can I get in and rushdown safely without worrking about an assist besides rushing after one is called? What exactly is counter calling assist and how does that play out?
Thanks

Well one of the beauties of playing Santhrax is that you have the option to rush down or run away. Basically, you have to see how the match is going for you. That way, you can choose your spots on where you want to rush or run accordingly.
If you are getting confused on what to do in certain situatons, keep trying stuff until you find something that works, then stick to it until they find a way to counter that. Also, countercalling refers to attacking the opponent's assist with your own assist.
Basically the flow of the match tells you what to do in certain situations. There is no set way of tackling something, so just keep trying stuff until it works for you.
Hope this helps.

A few things - Tron assist rapes commando, and commando assist stays out on screen for longer than others. You could swap commando for cyclops - he beats out Tron assist, but Sent/commando does a better job vs storm IMO, so you'll have to balance it out. If you do stick with commando, run and get alot of meter - try and frustrate Rogue by keeping to the air - staying above her. Try and land the standard LA xxLS to HSF. So basically Run, keep your distance. Don't try and rushdown Rogue - Rogue/Tron can rushdown as well as anyone in the game - so don't play to her strengths.
Try not to use commando too much, if you do protect commando with a hailstorm. Rogue and Tron can do ALOT of damage to him, plus he's vulrenable when he's snapped in.

Can't go wrong with more drones.

and you can't go wrong if you start with storm, charge for 2-3 meters... and do a LS DHC HSF and rogue's gone.

Which is what is ideal imo, but that does not always come so easy for me yet. Sometimes I am just not getting those launchers in.
Another thing I tend to fuck up on is the DHC to sent. I am only landing it about 50% of the time. I usually do whatever to launch, lk,lk, laX1, ls. I cancel to sents HSF as soon as storm is finished. The part I can not seem to get down 100% is the dash in to launcher. I always seem to kick them when they are on the ground. I dash right when the third set of drones comes on the screen.
Is there an easier way to learn the dash timing, or a combo with storm that makes the whole HSF>dash combo easier?

start sent on rogue, then just zone out rogue using storm's nado assist, remember hitting tron not only damages her but gives you free time where they can't use their assist
if you use storm tho i just feel like you might shouldn't be trying to s.rh rogue if she is in the air @ all, i think u can just land sj.lk on her, her normals dont beat storms in the air, if you can block the stuff rogue/tron is doing when landing then its all to the g
