Easy Enough

(another I need help thread)

yo everybody,

I just got this game and the SF:AC stick. I played today and enjoyed it, and feel I've already improved a lot in the 2 hours I played earlier. But I come to you, the champions of 20 frame delay, asking for help. I'm not a total beginner, and my knowledge of the game runs circles around my ability to play it. I'm looking for some people who would be willing to play any number of games, and maybe give general help/advice/tips and etc. along the way. Now that break has started, outside of some BS out of state basketball tournament, I'll pretty much be free whenever. I'd like to get some quality playing in, and up my skills. I'm still kind of in the process of character picking, but right now it's Ken, Makoto, then Yang. I also play HSF2 (ST Dhalsim, O. Ken)

So anybody who can and would be willing to help a brotha out, please drop a post in here with your gamertag, and I'll get at you when I get on tomorrow. Mine is (temporairly, just found out that Microsoft is letting me roll with a cancelled credit card) Hp EpYoN (don't ask).

LOLOL it pained me to play on the stick, @ least u knew the fight i was puting up @ that toureny was me @ like 15%:bluu: My bigest problem with the stick is low blocks and throws, just cant do it. PPl were prolly like "wut a phuck'n scrub!" I just need to buy a stick and learn how 2 use it.

But it was nice to finally meet you, since u live around here we should just get together one weekend and do casuals all day. That way we can bite off of eachother randomness, cause u dont play like the rest of the 3s lemmings.:nunchuck:

I got no parts right now. I dunno the names of teh differnt kinds of sticks, but i know the kinda i wanna get is where teh stick is more... stiff i guess.. U got those little sticks where if u touch them its really loose and it goes in every direction, i want the stick that is'nt so loose, more controllable. u know.?

Aw man...ya'll are afraid of the precision of the Sanwa sticks. Once you get good with that ish you don't go back. Good for taking to tournaments cuz they don't move around in your lap like the harder spring stuff. I prefer to play on my lap as opposed to sitting the stick on the floor so it works for me.

As far as harder spring stuff there are older Sanwa sticks (I think model JLW) that have a harder spring. My bro has one and some people complain because the stick is a bit stiff for a Sanwa. People are used to the newer JLF's and Hori sticks that are super loose. You might wanna see if you can cop a Sanwa like that or get one with a stiffer spring. They're still pretty responsive but just don't feel one step away from an analog control like a light spring Sanwa. Go to www.akihabarashop.com for more info.

Otherwise you might as well go with a US style stick. They're known for being a bit stiffer and they're good if you like something with a heavy base or like to play on the floor/stand. Happ brand sticks are the best way to go. If you want something real tight a hard spring Ultimate is good but most people prefer Competitions as those seem to be the most accurate of the US style sticks. You can get more info about those sticks on www.happcontrols.com.

...Sticks are going to be my last move. If I can't find someone to solder some wires in my dreamcast to play on PS2, then I'm going to try to find something for the Saturn Pad. If that doesn't work then I guess I'll try some sticks out.
