Yo.

For some reason, my DC won't recognize my old CvS2 save file. Fun. :confused:

Erase it the only thing you'll lose is your colors nothing to unlock but shin akuma and ultimate rugal (but who cares).

i play my dreamcast almost everyday.

nope never reset itself, I got one down the line just before they stopped production. And it was packed away for a while so it should have a couple years left in it.

I don't. If I did play it'd all be against the CPU, and I don't know anyone that plays fighting games anymore. If I did play, it'd only waste time between playing my DS Lite games which is already piled up into a longass queue as it is. I haven't even played a fighting game in many years now.

The only reason to really play is for the Fighters. I think the DC is one of the gayest systems. It had a hell of a lot of potential back during it's release, but now, it's just a defective system with games that you can just play on other systems. And I've gone through the luxuary of having 3 systems breaking for no reason, and the only reason I have yet another one is because a friend ended up just giving me his since he never used it.

I use my DC a little everyday for MvC2. It has trouble reading some of my games but thankfully Marvel isn't one of them.

got mine within the first week of its release and it still runs as good as the first day I got it. unfortunately my analog sticks are dead and I need to repair my arcade stick so Ive put it into temporary retirement.

on a side note, would anyone know a good site to buy dreamcast controllers? without liksang I dont know where to get my dreamcast goods

Mine has had zero problems too, other than not loading really old burned games. Too bad it disappeared this summer. I haven't seen it since July...

Thankfully, my DC still works fine with most games. The only ones I have trouble with are Chu Chu Rocket, which doesn't load sometime, and Ecco, which has started reseting while it loads level 2. I've got 25 other original games that worked perfectly the last time I checked, and I bought my DC in May 2000.

The games that get the most frequent play these days are Shenmue 1 & 2, Grandia II, Gunbird 2, Project Justice: Rival Schools 2 and Skies of Arcadia.

I have to stick a towel between the case and the lid in order to get anything to play without crashing, but I still love my DC! Jet Grind Radio still gets play in addition to MVC2 (duh).

Had her(DC) since 2001 probably, that I did.

I Mark of the Wolves it up as much as possible, next to Third Strike. A3 it next for sheits. I had Second Impact... but she died from exhaustion. Worst game to get? TimeStalkers...seriously. Walk away. Far away. Don't touch it...don't give it attention. Pinnacle games? DOA 2 LE == best DOA 2 EVER, Phantasy Star Online(v2), and Shenmue. Just for kicks playing: Soul Calibur.

I sold my dreamcast a long time ago, and never looked back.

Especially now with PS2, which has nearly every title DC had and MORE. PS2 also uses DVD-Roms and not those shitty GD-Rom thingys.

Anyone remember that Spawn game Capcom released back in 2k1? It was basically an arcade beat 'em up and had the most kickass 4player mode ever. Midevil Spawn was top tier in that game. Hella broke.

Just for your information, they're all NTSC versions (I presume), 'cause I got them from some guy in Canada. But I installed a PAL compatible power unit.

Low Grade Devil May Cry at best. It feels like an arcade game. Troublesome points and limitations in some stages.

How do you tell which version it is? This one's from 2000. I don't have a memory unit so I dunno about the costumes. I have Spawn too, by the way.

The graphics were really good, too. Completely smooth outlines. The engine feels nice and smooth, also.

We had the Japanese version when it first came out. That game was too fucking fun. I remember we wasted 6 hours just playing it. You should try eBay. It could be there.

It was alright. I mean, it was great to have a Berserk game out in America. But, it had it's flaws. Like Bear mentioned, there were certain limitations in the stages. Although, it did add a little element of difficulty to the game because you had to be cautious of small rooms because Guts wouldn't be able to swing his sword completely in a small room. And that alone would make the game pretty difficult. Especially during boss battles.

The graphics weren't too bad. But, yeah, it was basically the precursor to Devil May Cry IMO. The Berserk PS2 game is hella tight though.

DOA LE = Limited Edition == STUFF TAKEN OUT OF THE AMERICAN VERSION WHICH WERE GOOD...which will cause one to detest the original American release. For instance,
- each character had two possible special partner team moves and intro/outros

- deleted cutscenes: Jahn Lee's cutscene with Ryu is one of them. Lee tells Ryu to
"shut up". Tina and Yang Fei's intro(test of strength). Zack and Leon's intro.

- backgrounds: this one had more backgrounds. Jahn's stage has a breakable window that leads to a Bhuddist temple.

- bosses playable: Bayman and Tengu were playable. Not that this mattered. You couldn't get Tengu in Tag mode anyway.

Just cosmetics.

As stated before, swinging his sword around in it was pretty difficult in the alleyways. It was a good beat-em-up nevertheless and integrated the Beserk universe well with the characters(Zodd showing face was classical). This takes place post-ascension, means that Gatts and Caska got demon baby here. Still, Eidos' decision to keep Gatsu's name in the game instead of Gutts, as the game's title pointed out, was ingenious. Luckily, they kept the voices ok. You'll recognize Puck's voice. As Death pointed out, Beserk's PS2 incarnations are much better and stronger.

Ugh that game was THE SHIT! Redeemer was my dude. I still play my DC. Mainly for marvel but i just got done fuckin around with some bangai-o.

It has the cut-scenes between Jann Lee and Hayabusa, and Tina and Leifang. I don't know which stage you mean by Jann Lee's stage. The Hong Kong stage isn't even here, but the Dragon Hills stage has hidden areas behind some of the walls.

.. It's the LE version; Bayman and Tengu are unlockable.

damn I fuckin hate berserk now because I can't beat the the last time attack mode for full 100% completion. Spawn arcade was the shit and the clown owns everybody rocket launchers then transform, find full health power up and let the slaughter begin. all fighters on the dreamcast compared to other systems is near arcade perfect even the fucking slow downs are there.

I had this problem about two years ago - if you want to fix it, you'll need to solder a new resistor (I use 10 ohms) onto the circuit board. It sounds like a headache, but I was at uni at the time and enlisted the expertise of the electronics department, it took them about 10 minutes.

I have 2 DCs and have suffered the above problem on each, as well as the reset problem on each. To fix the reset problem I recommend visiting the Consolevision link posted earlier, it's just a case of the pins coming unstuck from the power board, and with no electronics knowledge and a screwdriver you just open it up and push them back together. In one of my cases the pin casing had blown apart, but the majority (note not all) of reset cases are solvable with this simple method.

If anyone needs any help, I'm no electronics expert, just a DC fan who is sick of seeing good machines thrown out, feel free to send me a PM. This console deserves more love.

true medievil did own you up close aka super cloud raping swipe. the violater was good too I remember owning my friends medievil Spawn with the clown. shit is hella funny when they're pissed because you roll evaded the jungle swipe or made him drop the sword.

never played on-line but the game on in human is insane plus if your playing on the space ship you've got to be good to win.

I still use mine occassionally, mainly for a little bit of MVC2 or random runs through Ikaruga. My DC used to have problems with freezing in the middle of games, but I haven't experienced it for the past few months, so I have no idea what was causing that issue.
