Basically what the thread title says. I've decided that I want to make a Blood Elf when the expansion comes out, and I'm completely new to WoW also. I'm just doing some reading over the break and I wanted to know what peoples' preferences are experiences are.

Choose the class that lets you keep your $15/month.

I was gonna say Rogue but he does have a point.

Quit while you can, or nobody will ever hear from you again.

I'd say the funnest class for a new person is a rogue, that's my advice, they are easy as hell to pick up too.

Touche. I don't see how people can't seem to balance playing games and other activities. There are a lot of normal people who play WoW. It's damn near impossible to kill the stereotypes, so I won't even pursue that argument.

Warriors pwn but are very equipment dependant. But it is also much cooler when you do get that new piece of equipment, especially a weapon.

But yeah, don't start the game. It kills. Literally.

A warlock, you'll own anything/everything in the game, in PvE or PvP

This is coming from a mage too

20 months ago when the game was fun would have been a better time for this.

I just dont see the point of paying a monthly fee for any game. Shits dumb.

Yes, and it smells like BO, hot pockets, and Bawls energy drinks. Just replace a keyboard with a stick where it's convenient.

Honestly, I'd say start with a Hunter. They don't have an overly difficult learning curve, it is easiest to solo with them at lower levels, you get a pet to help you fight, and you can handle both melee and ranged combat fairly well (ranged moreso though).

Every class is fun and interesting in their own unique way. Warrior would prolly be a bad first character though. They have a higher learning curve, especially when you reach high levels. Gotta be quick to adapt to changing combat situations. And trust me on this one, at high levels combat is very fast-paced and frantic.

Saw the most hilarious South Park episode last night, which was about WoW. Some 40 year old boy was killing everyone and everything, dominating the game with his experience points and stuff, and players were getting discouraged, so the developers had to figure out how to make it fun for gamers again. Otherwise, it would be the "end of the world... of Warcraft"

Look it up on Youtube.

Someone said warrior and i second that....warriors are fun...you get nice armor and weapons and you get to hit things instead of sitting back watching the animations...

Its a very addicting game though.....thats why you pay to play cause literally you wont be buying any other games!

I just dont see the point of paying a monthly fee for any game. Shits dumb.

Its no different than XBox Live.

I pay for City of Heroes/Villains - and frnakly 15 bucks is ALOT in the scheme of things *thats 180 bux a year - I';m at like 27+ months - so 400 bux for one game* but it does include expansions *though doing the math on it - expansions cost more than the game itself when averaged out*. Its why I limit myself to one subscription at a time. If XBox 360 finally gets a good game thats not sports related or a FPS *sigh Namco PLEASE come over* - then I buy XBox Live - I'm turning off CoX.

I want to try out WoW for engine purposes but FUCK it ANOTHER DAMN D&D MMO. can they just do a strcraft MMO so I won't feel bad for giving them money. Ugh. No elves, no dragons, no beating on rats and bears. I want to throw Psi-Storms on top of a swarm of zerglings and watch them pop like big pimples.

Sorry for going off topic.

Be a man and make a Paladin. then learn how to actually get good with them.
