Uploading/Downloading question

Well, might get flamed for this but I have a FTP/computer question.

My friend is currently uploading a 3.3 gig file from Germany, which I have to DL and show at 7 o'clock tonight. At the moment it looks like the upload itself will take til 5 o'clock. Downloading will take 2 hours, possibly three and burning to DVD will take about 10 minutes. Folks I need to Jack Bauer this. Is there a way to crank up the upload speed or the download speed? Any help...

why do you need to down load it again just slave you friends hard drive to yours then burn the file from a shared folder.

That'd work if Adverse was in the same country.

Anyways, if you're both maxed out or close to your usual bandwidth streams on the up and down, nothing you can do.

1 big file? If it is multiple files, can you dl the ones already uploaded, which would cut most of the 2 hour dl time.

Figured it out. Got an optical connect at work I can dl the file in 30 minutes looks like. Sick, 6 megs/second...
