I do it before. It's actually the first thing I do in the morning. I personally feel sick if I eat breakfast without brushing my teeth first.

How is this relevant?

I used to do it before to get the unclean feeling out of my mouth before eating with it. Now I do it after to actually clean my mouth and let it stay clean for a while till I eat, drink or smoke something again. But now that I'm unemployed I skip it 'cause I'll be smoking and drinking right after breakfast anyway.

But, I believe it's best to do it after breakfast.

Actually, it's better to do it before when you wake up. The surface of your teeth are more vulnerable to food stains because they're dryer in the morning. When you sleep, saliva in your mouth naturally decreases. After breakfast though, I usually brush with water for about 30 seconds or so in order to remove most food particles from eating.

I do it before, just to get that dirty feeling out of my mouth (wow, that sounded sick). if I have time, I might try and brush after breakfast too.

Does anyone actually brush 3 times a day as recommended by dentists?

I dont eat breakfast. It is not neccesary and it is not an importantant part of your day. It is a conspiracy by dairy workers to get you to buy their products.
I brush first thing in the morning. I dont want to be digesting the stuff that collects and grows in your mouth at night.

I do both, but lately I rarely make time for breakfast, so I just brush when I wake up.I actually brush my teeth on my lunch break too.

If i eat breakfast then it would be after. If you do it before everything has a toothpaste taste.

But if you do it after, you swallow the germs and stuff that have been collecting..
I do it before I eat breakfast, but then again I RARELY eat breakfast (and if I do, it's probably just a glass of juice or something), so it's not really an issue for me.

My "breakfast" time is really vague, but I usually try to brush at around 7 a.m. And are we supposed to brush 2 times a day or 3?

Sometimes I do before and after (and then before I go to sleep), but other times I'll eat and then brush, and most of the time I brush and don't eat (it's bad I know).

Yeah, until you slip and your teeth straight parry your brush.

Mouthwash? Before, or after brushing? i hear different ways its supposed to be done. i do it after. There's a Listerine called Listerine Pre-Brush Rinse. Just buy that one to avoid confusion.

Differences between mouthwash and rinse? Dunno.

In high school I always brushed my teeth after eating breakfast. Then, during my first year of college, I started brushing my teeth first and eating breakfast afterwards. The summer after my first year of college was also when I found out that I had my first cavity, so I switched back. I'm not sure if when I brushed my teeth in the morning actually had anything to do with it, but I figured that brushing after I ate seemed to work pretty well for 18 years, so...

I brush my teeth with Sam Adams. It helps to get rid of the taste of weed and hooker spit.

I brush as soon as I wake up. Then I rinse really good with water and mouthwash after I eat breakfast, and possibly floss some too depending on what I ate. I try not to floss to much during the day because I hear you should only do it once at night before you go to bed.
