I think thats really just cause desora was one of the players behind it and he loves big van vader... errr raiden.

I wouldn't totally follow that chart. I think it was made by a bunch of a-cho players, NOT by bas and all the other super-top players. It has a strange bias towards a-kyo/a-iori/k-raiden as top tier characters and neglects other characters. As you can see in the recommended team charts, it says raiden/blanka/sagat is the best K team when most people would agree that K-cammy is much better than raiden and blanka.

k-raiden does have good traits to work with. That stupidly high priority splash, range on the 360k, painful combo with rdp + p x 2, flame super. And some flame traps. I won't say he's top tier, but at middle/top of the midtier ranks.

-Body Splash is a great crossup and has sick priority.
-Thunder Bomb (360) is a regular grab with regular range. I think you meant Desturction Drop (720) which has the best grab-range in the game.
-The painful combo can only be done in the corner if I know. Various ways to start instead of Body Splash are close s.MP or c.LP/LKx2.
-He has good poison/flame traps. In N-Groove, you can Counter-Attack (which is his far s.MP) then Flame Breath away. Even Level 3 Flame Breath works.
-Don't forget that he has the longest throw range (I think it's P throw, I don't know about K throw) but is kinda detrimental as the opponent can tech off it from near-sweep distance.

btw, i'm 99% sure the combo works everywhere, as long as the flame super is lvl3....kinda sad that I know more about raiden than you...

the guy is very obviously biased

i dont see how anybody could even consider raiden anywhere near the top tier

if you keep your defense tight, the only ways raiden has to get in are to repeatedly try to jump in and JD (which is like 90% of desora's gameplan), or to walk up and JD

Dude desora is completely biased towards raiden, he plays r4 raiden all the time. But D44 did help. It says so at the bottom of the chart.

oh, and i think flashmetroid is referring to a tier list bas wrote up in one his blogs on the japanese equivalent to myspace

i mentioned it in passing a while back, don't remember the reason

it's pretty hard for me to find the link now (bas updates his blog almost every day so there's a ton of entries to wade through), but off the top of my head:

SS class: a blanka
S class: c sagat, k hibiki, k cammy
A class: a bison, a vega, k sagat, p cammy

and that's where he cuts it off, saying he's tired of writing

and um, a-bison being a class is lols all around. he basically says a bison is S class with meter (more like, SSSSSS class), but without meter he's not very good

if I remember( I don't speak Japanese but someone translated it awhile ago) he says, A-rolento is pretty good, but hard to play correctly and then some other stuff.

also, note that desora made this chart with some input from top players. so it's not like they all sat around at a big table and cranked this thing out. he got some input then did the chart by himself with mostly subjective info (which is what it says right on top)
