GG's. You're all the way out from Texas? That connection was great if you were playing from Texas. I figured you were a tournament player already the way you adjusted to my Ibuki quickly and ran me like 5 games before I could get one in. Best Hugo play I've seen since Sandybags. I see you like to stick with the Gigas as well. It's so crazy how you have to try to work around that super. I had to come up with like 7 different baits or I was gonna get thrown by that shit the entire set. I'd like to see you run up against RPD. Whoever blocks more wins.

Be afraid of this guy. Be afraid.

haha yea ur ibuki is very good!!!i havent played a good one in a while... yea i use to hang with mopreme and the rest of the austin crew alot and all i use is hugo and Q... playing Q taught me how to block and learned it helps hugo's game too...and playing chun's kens and yuns all day built some tuff skin lol.... yea i havent been to a tourney in like a year now... the main difference between me and other hugo players ive seen is that i play a more rushdown, aggressive hugo...

i swear there were times i didnt think the gigas was gonna take all ur life and it did haha i keep forgeting how ibuki's stamina is... gigas is a must vs ibuki cuz some times ibuki will take most of ur life at the beginning of a round if ur not carefull... gigas is more of a comeback move lol... i know a ton of gigas set ups.. plus i dont know if u saw a couple of times were the gigas has more reach than expected.. i used it as a counter like when u go for a sweep...

yea very good set i look forward to playing some more ibuki next time

Yeah...I noticed sweep makes Ibuki's hit box bigger and makes her an easier target for Gigas. I had to calm down with all of the sweeps during the poke strings cuz that shit was getting me run. I have to make sure everything I do has like zero frame disadvantage or creates a knockdown or I get punished. Hugo's scary like that. Yeah...Ibuki literally have to have 65 percent of her life left to not die from Gigas. Anything less and it's GG's Ibuki. If Ibuki wasn't as fast as she is the match would be a lot less in her favor.

I've seen players like YSB use SA2 against her since Ibuki is jumping like all the fucking time. Gigas pretty ends the round but if Ibuki does a good job baiting it then it pretty much has the reverse effect on Hugo. Yet...Hayao pretty much runs SA1 all the time and beasts the shit out of everybody.

yea i use to use sa2 but it doesnt end the match hugo can be hit out of it so its not a sure super... i usually use gigas during my rush down thats when i mostly land it... using it on wake is too old school and doesnt work anymore lol... oh yea hayao is the perfect example of using the gigas as a comeback for the win hehe!!! i seem some vids were the opponent will have almost full life and he'll come back and win

More GG's today. That was probably the most fun I've had via Xbox Live in a long time. Connection was hella solid the whole way though. Maybe like 1 or 2 hiccups in the 150 matches we had (literally). I guess we both don't have much to do tomorrow cuz neither one of us were really ready to quit. I decided to just head out finally cuz I do have to go out tomorrow but not till like 12.

This time we fucked around a bit more and kinda chose whatever character. I can definitely see that Q is your secondary character. You got some cool tricks with him and definitely have the blocking game down. I don't know how you kept catching me with those SA1's to punish my jump ins. It's like that super has a vacuum effect vs. jumping attacks. Like I'm clearly drop kicking your chest and the super somehow brings me to the ground and wrecks me.

I liked your Necro and Akuma as well. Both were solid and hella difficult for my Alex (Alex and Oro are my secondary characters). Alex's AA's are ok but he doesn't have a real welfare one to stuff out everything so both of those characters can jump on me for free on the wake up unless I catch a lucky EX air stampede. I really hate having to waste a super just to get them off of me. Stomps work once in a while but when you started figuring them out I had to stick to good old low block. I would have played more Oro but Alex was just too fun to resist. Nothing like beasting people with power bombs and headbutts.

I tried to show off some random shit with Remy but he's just too defensive for me. I like playing him but it seems to win with him you gotta draw the match out for an insane amount of time. Like in our Remy vs. Q matches. I would be leading by half simply by zoning. Then I figure to move in a bit to continue pressure and you catch me on one mistake and instantly take away half my life. That shit is stupid. Then I'm forced to run away the clock for another 40 seconds and hope I have you down by enough to finish you off. Hugo was kinda the same deal except he couldn't instantly cover the entire screen with a dash punch. :wasted:

Don't mind my Denjin Ryu...I don't even like that super and have no idea how to use it. Just fucking around. Our last bouts were good and it was good to see that I finally got adjusted to your Hugo a bit better. Yet...if there's anything I know about good competitive fights is that you learn from them win or lose so I'm sure you'll figure out a way around Ibuki's ninja tricks. Your Hugo is definitely a tough case to crack. GG's and Happy Holidays (can't say Xmas anymore :shake: )
