u can always get custom firmware... search for it in google.... custom firmware sometimes is leap years beyond the shitty stuff some of these companies put out.

Firmware?!
FIRMWARE....
u understand even on cisco systems firmware u have to stop the whole system and update it by disc right?
firmware cant really be TRUELY updated automatically cause that would mean auto shut down... and when you are running a server across a router a auto shut down is pretty contradictory to having a good server set up... im sure u could run a script to do it... but i seriously doubt it as a auto feature. if so post to me where to find this cheap ass router at.
now ive heard of receivers doing this... but not routers.

Well the dude said his firmware auto updates and you said he didn't know what he was talking about. I was just pointing out that theres a router that does it regardless of if it's vonage or not. The exact model is the Linksys WRTP54G that does it.

You're the one taking it personally, I was simply pointing out that some routers do in fact update them selves...

u gotta understand.... vonage is a phone/broadband company....its whole line of quality broadband phoneage rely's on its ability to deliver quality shit....
so ofcourse it will auto -update the firmware for that system..... or else u would have 38992090293 vonage customers calling in about why the service is whack... and talking about they brocked their router trying to firmware update it.
