What are reputation points? I was posting on a forum today and I was looking at the different ranks that people have and I notice that I only have one of those green marks under my name so I start to wonder why? Also I notice a little judgement scale that says when you hover over it says: Reputation points:59. I want to know what this means and how do I get a better ranking here?

I've been to some other forums where the primary reason for *NOT* implementing the Rep system, was using SRK as an example of why the rep system just is not a good idea.

Giving out points = giving out rep.

Same thing, points are just used to describe the number of what you have, and how much more or less you need before you receive another color bar. In your case i'd assume you need to get up to 150 points to receive your next green bar...

I've always found the rep system to be fair. If I post something other people like, half the time it'll grab a good rep standing. If you keep it positive (or only flame when flaming is justified), most likely somebody will take notice and positive rep you.

The only part of the rep system I don't get is "even" reputation on a post. I had somebody even rep a post of mine once, and I really didn't get why. After all, the amount of rep points stays exactly the same...:confused:

I think that means that a person with overall negative reputation tried to give you positive rep. Its not like he intentionally gave you neutral rep.

You support SRK by being part of the Streetfighter community, e.g keeping the arcades alive, playng competitive fighting games, attennding events, buying DVDs/T-shirts and so forth.

That is supporting Shoryuken, and the 'community'.

Paying money to have a banner above your name and be able to have cyber sex with other suckers (and yeah, you gotta be a sucker to pay for it) for green dots is doing.. well giving your money away.

Nobody cares about rep apart from the people that are silly enough to pay just to exchange rep and then act like it's important. Reminds me of old school SRK and other forums, when ;post count' was like your e-dick and quadruple figures was like having 12 inchess to slap in peoples faces.
