I used to use limewire on my other computer but my extra monitor grenaded. So now i only have this good new computer.
Ive got bit torrent as everyone suggests. So i enter the song on the top right and then an internet browser comes up which just have SOME song names and ads and stuff....is that normal? I dont understand it, limewire is so simple, and the way its operated is easy. Does anybody know a safer way than limewire? Or can someone tell how to use bit torrent the right way?
Thanks in advance.

Its really simple. Get a descent client. Get torrents with lots of seeders and leechers from a descent torrent site and wel...start sharing.

If you are downloading single songs, why don't you just use LW?

BT is very easy to use. Get BT client, find a BT site , download from the mirror-site (either save it or open the file)
should download to directory you saved to and Bingo their you have it!
Ya only use BT for big d/l's like album's, if its a single song stick to LW (make sure you have oringals :razzy: )
And I reckon its better as well. Gives you a lot of flexibility. You only share what you download and while you are downloading or want to willingly seed rather than bloody "Everything i've downloaded so far" or whatever.

Limewire is riddled with spyware. If you want music, you're much better off with DC++ or something.
If you're going to use torrents, use uTorrent, since it protects against "bad" torrents and offers better privacy options.

I've heard it's small as hell (file size/ram used). How is it the same GUI? Keep in mind I'm not arguing against how good it is because I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Google utorrent, install it and enjoy.
You also need a good torrent site mininova, isohunt and piratebay work wonders.

I'll have to try it then. Do you have to configure your ports and do all the tweaks to it to get max download speeds with utorrent too?

AFAIK you've got to do that with any client you install, but if you have opened your ports for a program you can just use the same settings as long as you don't open them at the same time.
