Anyone know a good DVD movie creating program?

I recently got a hard drive camcorder and the software that came with it kinda sucks. I mean, it has a DVD menu creator, but it won't merge scenes together. Instead, after one scene is done, it goes right back to the DVD menu which is pretty lame-tastic to me.

I did a search and what I found was video editing, which isn't what I want to do. I want to create a DVD with menus and merge all the files with chapter selection intact.

if you can get your hands on DVD Studio Pro or Spruce Maestro, then those are 2 fairly straight forward DVD authoring packages.

Nero has a really quick interface that also meets your requirement of not going back to the menu screen after each chapter. I'm not sure how much chapter control you want.

Adobe encore has a little bigger learning curve, but has more control over content, menus, and commands

Hmmm, $1000 to make one DVD movie or download something for free? What a tough decision.

I am sure Apple computers are the bomb for my request, but right now, I just need something quick, simple, and most important, cheaper (or even free). Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

Anyway, I researched on Nero 7 since it sounds like what I am looking for and will try it out. Thanks for the advice!
