Well, I recently got my mitts on one of the old grey and yellow Namco sticks, and I'm planning on customizing it in the near future.
I want to get some custom graphics on it, and having a look at the stick, I thought it would be a good idea to remove the metal plate from the surface, and replace it with some clear, hard perspex (or whatever's most suitable), so that I can put some art underneath.
Would this work? Would it make the stick less sturdy? If so, could I stabilize it any other way?
I haven't seen any examples of this stick modded in this way, so I thought maybe there was a reason for it.
