Actually, this isn't for stick art per say, though I may use it for stick art eventually.

But anyways. I'm looking to print some of my own artwork as presents for my teachers (because I'm pretty arrogant). Artwork is at 1024x768 though I can make it larger (without loss in resolution) if I want. In any case, I want the print to be about the size of a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper (A1 letter was it?). I'm aware there are countless photo printing services. So, what service do you (all) think would be the best? I'm willing to try either online or offline.

Try Kinko's first. Probably the cheapest and if it doesn't come out to your spec you don't pay for it.

In my experience, sometimes Kinkos converts stuff, even if you already have it in a JPEG file. For some reason, it always seems to be a low quality conversion which I don't understand, seeing as how they don't archive the files. A few times they've converted some of my files to print on their wack machines, which I perceived as inferior to a FUJIFILM photo processing machine, which isn't even designed for such graphics. But still, I'd recommend Kinkos first too.

I always make my files going to kinko's as PDF files. They don't/can't screw those up unless they change the dimensions. I always tell them just hit the print button and it'll come out fine.
