From the commercials that I saw, I liked that he wears the OG Ironman armor the bulky grey one and defferent ones throught out the film. Makes me want to play with him in Marvel: UA now.

Is that sum Akuma in that shit?
About two weeks ago, my brother and I were talking about the Marvel films and we eventually got to Iron Man. We started throwing out names as to who would star as Iron Man and I eventually ended up saying,
"Wait, what about that one guy.. What's his face.. Robert Downey Jr. Yeah, he'd be perfect.. Except that he doesn't really look like Tony Stark."
Not ten minutes later, my brother's on IMDB searching for Iron Man and we find out that the person to play him in 2008 is, indeed, Robert Downey Jr.
We had a good laugh.

Only 20 mins in; animation wise its better than uhh, wtvr the last STV Marvel movie was. The one w/Hulk, Thor and others.
These Marvel movies need serious violence.

Because New Mutants and Heros for Hire are real bankable and iconic superheroes that can sell a movie

There is a huge difference between throwing fanboys a few bones in a television show banking on one of DC's largest comic book franchises and centering a whole movie around two comic book teams no one has heard of since the early 90s. But thanks for your input.

well, since marvel only wants to play with top tiers, i.e the characters even 60 year old yugoslavian fishwives know about, maybe they can make animated movies about the interesting chronicles in said characters' histories. Iron Man for instance, had a storyline back when I was a kid...there was this virus (Terminus or Animus, or something) that turned wildlife from flesh to hostile cyborgs and it was spread through the food chain. That shit creeped me out. There was a scene where a squirrel wasted a deer. I'd LOVE to see a movie of that...maybe Iron Man 2? I'm just tired of these damn "origin" movies. The fans already know how the heroes came to be.

So yeah, I stopped after I made my last post. I don't think I can even finish it.

But, yet look at what happen to those B-list character in JLU. People got hooked on them. Bruce Timm and crew made those characters famous. Marvel should stop whoring out the A-listers all the time because that shit ain't gonna work for them.
They're trying too hard to capitalize on DC's absence from the animated world. And so far, it's fail city.
And do you really think that Ultimate Avengers is meant for the new blood? With anime around, that ain't happening any time soon. You might as well cater to the comic book crowd.

ya know i feel like iron fist has never been written like he should. instead of be a superhero comic it should be written as a martial arts comic.

Overall, I was disappointed with the Iron Man movie . I dig that he uses the bulky OG suit twice in the film, including for the final showdown. And the drawn animation is really beautiful. But the CG animation looks kinda outdated, as mentioned before. The story was passable, but cheesy. My biggest complaint though is the action. Most of the fights are hella short, with the villains being taken down in very fast and simple ways. The only reason Tony has a hard time at all, IMO, is that he spends the start of nearly every fight just letting them whoop on him for a few minutes before he actually fights back. Weak! The fight with the dragon was pretty fun though. And it was nice to see a bit more blood this time around. I'm not a gore hound, but I hate when they totally pussify stuff; it seems less real.
Seriously though, the only thing I really, really liked about this film was OG bulky IM suit.

This is the origin of Iron Man. Not the Iron Man of today. You can't just throw a suit of armor on and go toss everybody up. That's something Tony had to learn and train to do. OG suit was indeed quality.
