Im at school and i used some dry-erase markers on a white board, but its not coming off cleanly.
Should acetone or nail polish remover work on this?
or should i use something else?
thanks

Rubbing alcohol. It will clean that shit off...and then you can get drunk hobo style.

Use that stuff if it is an old board, but only water if it is new. The special cleaners/thinners take off the slick top layer of boards progressively making your board worse. Starting out with water works well and will make the white board last longer.

I tried water , but it made it into a thin faint light blue blob, and the letters can still be seen faintly.
