My stick has been acting up lately. Now when I turn on my Xbox or PS2, the stick is always going to the right at the neutral state. So basically at neutral state, the stick is going to the right, and if i press the stick left, it stops moving. I think maybe it's the switches, I need to get it replaced? Please help.

Sounds like the 'problem' you can get if you hold an analog stick in a direction while booting up a console, it will think wherever you were holding was center... but i'm guessing your stick is digital.. so i'm not really sure what the problem might be other than that.

Looks like an analog pad on board... Might be the pad, unfortunately. The only fix may be to solder in a new pad. have you tried plugging it into a PS->USB adapter?

First check to see if it's something as simple as a microswitch at the bottom of the stick being stuck/broken.
If nothing is obvious there, check for a loose solder connection that could be shorting out the "right" direction.
If the switches and solder points all look fine, then it could possibly be a short in the wire after it leaves the box, due to part of the wire that is bent over and over. Checking this would take a simple electronic device plus some patience or skill.
If all that looks fine, then it's very likely your board has died and you need to replace it or find some who can do that for you.
there's no way both pads are having the exact same problem on a swappable setup like that, so relax, you wont have to get new pads. check the wire on the big metal connector that leads to the directional switch on the arcade stick (right direction). it prolly got loose and is touching a neighboring wire (ground or left direction). the way it stops moving when you hit left is totally what happens when right is firing constantly and then left is hit at the same time, so the wire for right is touching the wire for left and/or ground. it could also be loose up by the stick part, so check that too. bet it.
