WTF is this world coming to?! I've been to this store a few times, not too often though because there are two Gamestop within a one mile vicinity of this store. But anyway, I wish I had some details on how she died, but I guess it doesn't matter. It's fucked up that it happened... thoughts? Comments?

That's what I thought, or natural causes considering they never stated a cause of death. They did say that cash was missing from the register though. About the locked doors... I'm thinking the person took the keys off her and locked the doors so it'd take longer so someone to know what happened.

The place is small and there's no security so a robber can get in quickly, get cash from the register and possibly the safe (where the big money is) and then get out just as quickly. So it's pretty simple for a smash and grab job. It looks like in this case unfortunately it was more like a smash, grab, and kill job.

Speaking as an EB Games employee who has opened and closed a store by himself...most stores don't have a safe. And the ones that do usually deposit most of the money in them the night before opening shift. Typically business robberies happen at the very beginning or very end of the day, but in this case this dumb fuck picked the time when the LEAST amount of money was in the store. So obviously we're not dealing with someone experienced or smart.

It is true that most EBGamestop stores are very small and the corporation could not give a shit less about us being alone and vulnerable in the morning opening or evening closing in a small isolated store filled with thousands of dollars worth of high-demand mechandise.

However, it angers me that the girl opening the store by herself was slaughtered mercilessly when it's likely she cooperated fully with the robber and he decided to kill her just because he's a coward.

The only bright spot of this is that it happened in Texas, so at least we can know that when this motherfucker is caught he IS going to fry.

I worked at Gamestop where.

I had to bounce a woman because she was being belligerent. I asked her to leave and kept walking toward her with my hands behind my back until she pushed me. I threw my hands up to show I didn't touch her and she practically ran out the store. she came back later that night and shot up the sign.

The store was robbed 3 times. once when I was working.

the manager there shoplifts form wal-mart then trades in everything she shop lifts at the store.

I am so glad I quit there.

This is very sad to read though. Gamestop really does not give 2 shits about anyone working for them at all. I tried to call my DM about this shit multiple times and he just never called me back. Also the night we were robbed he wanted us to inventory the store not more than 1 hour after that. We were all freaked out and just wanted to go home. You tend to be like that after having a gun shoved in your face. He wrote us up for not doing it that night. God damn there is some things more important than your god damn store like someone's life and piece of mind. and it's not like the people who were not robbed can't do that while the people who were regain their composure. Fucking Tony!

All this girl wanted to do was make some money and maybe talk about a hobby she loved and now she is dead because some piece of shit trash who deserves to be slowly lowered into a plastic shredder decided that he needed to end her life for no good reason at all.

This sucks, I just transferred to a brand new Gamestop from a EB games in a mall, it just opened up, and it's hard to find so nobody hardly comes.

Its also in a shopping center with a Traget and BestBuy, and a Wal Mart about 2 minutes away.

I can see the stolen trade ins pouring in shortly. Atlease violent crime doesn't occur in the area, and even if it did, I am intimidating. Even a customer last night said that, lol.

My thinking is that this person was maybe someone who she had seen casing the store before or maybe even a prior customer. I think she was killed because the person thought that she'd be able to give a pretty good description. I just can't believe that someone would kill for what was probably at the most, $150. That's so freaking stupid.

Ebgames/Gamestop is gonna get the shit sued out of them and, I think, rightfully so. As far as I know, they have no type of surveillance system. Really what they should have at the stores is a camera system and a remote panic button that the employee(s) can wear to call 911 if something goes down.
