Finally the Madden series didn't hold water to the 2K series.

The Madden series is so played out. I think I've come to hate him more after each game is released year after year.

I need to know how they're gonna do this with the NFLPA bought completely by EA. I've heard rumors of them doing shit with HOFers and old school players but that'd be diffcult because they'd have to buy the rights peron by person.

I'm so glad the 2k series is coming back, the gameplay was hands down much much better than Madden.

I could care less about the official names not being in the new one coming out, the gameplay alone is what makes the 2k series standout.

I wouldn't be suprised if they took a Blitz the League type approach (it's the only real option) where you have a fictional league with a few big name players who don't answer to the NFLPA. I have been DYING for 2K football to come back. Go, now and find any screen shots of NFL2K5 if you haven't played it. Comparing it to (current gen) Madden 07' it STILL looks superior.

Imagine what VC can do with next gen power. And there IS a market for it. Blitz the League sold very well, despite being a poorly coded lackluster game with impossible load times (I had it).

You hold the CPU to 5-10yds passing for 3 quarters.At the end of the game the CPU will have only 45 yds passing depending on how you play defense.

You hold the CPU to 5-10yds passing for 3 quarters.At the end of the game,the CPU will have 450yds depending on how you play defense.

Also ESPN's Challenge Mode was a CHALLENGE Mode. It had all sorts of challenges like McNabb 2 Passing TD's,2 Rushing TD's 450 yds passing & 75% completions with Chad Pennington.150 receiving yards after a catch & no drops with Terrell Owens,beat the Cheifs in KC @ night.Madden only had simple ones

Da Game, your right about the challenge system......ESPN's was much much better with more options to the play that what your challenging, i think there's like 5 to 7 optons you can choose from (compared to maddens 1 or 2).

I used to be a 2K hater, but after they had it so that your friend couldn't see your plays I fell in love with it. It's also 20 dollars which is why i bought it in the first place. All the 2K series needed was a deeper franchise mode. Madden's franchise mode this year was very good. I can't wait to see this game they'll make.

Madden still has issues with mario running, gang tackling (it was just now implemented in 2007 for the PS3), speed issues, and comeback AI.

NFL Blitz and Tecmo Bowl are the only Football videogames I have played in life.............but 2K sports has not let me down.

They are probably going to release a bunch of bullshit and then let the players do the rosters. They have been updating and creating players for a long time (the fans) and 2k probably knows this. Still they can make money and people can make good rosters. Seems like a win-win to me.

I love Madden, but I also love 2k. Both series have their ups and downs. However Madden's little issues have almost turned me away from the franchise because of their REFUSAL to fix shit that bugs the hell outta me. Punt Returns, Gang Tackling, Stupid glitches along with stupid tackles (ok i hit you in the back field but let me throw you FORWARD SO YOU CAN GET A TD!!), etc... and the fact they've had years to do this is just pissing me off now.

And oh yeah, FUCK ROBO QB's. Fucking Play-action into a pass when the little cone didn't even come up and he's not even looking in that direction... what a bunch of bullshit.

Sounds like you're talking about NFL2K5 to me. I'm not saying Madden is awesome. I know its flaws all too well and many have heard my complaints (swing passes going out of bounds, sticky o-line play, stupid o-line play, stupid d-back play, not enough challenge options, no medium between the hard and the soft pass anymore, no gang-tackling, no o-line double-teaming, taking control of a computer-controlled player slows the player down, etc, etc).

But NFL2K5 is way more arcadey. That was one of its selling points, remember? And come on man...... Have you forgotten how the players control? It feels like Tecmo Superbowl. PA passes are practically worthless because there's no transition in the change of directrion. Did you guys all of a sudden forget the superman dives from 8 yards away... from defensive tackles no less? Drew Bledsoe being able to shrug off tackles in the pocket with that movement thingy? Both games were good but they both had flaws. Neither game was WAY better than the other.

Swordsman,DA GAME has to disagree with you about everyone buying the NFL 2K5 just because of the price but what the game had to offer as far as presentation & things of that nature,that's why people bought it.As much as everyone likes Madden(DG plays it himself most of the time)it didn't offer things like weekly preparation,the Crib(which was DEEP)Celebrity games,variety of challenges,etc.

Madden had new gameplay elements like Precision Passing & other stuff that winded up being a flaw.

I remember each year of people getting excited about features in Madden.

04: Have you heard about the Playmaker? You can change your recievers routes on the fly.

2k has AND Madden had hot routes for years. Whats so exciting about using an analog stick to control them?

The highlight stick is nothing but the truck stick but they moved stiff arming, spins, and jumps to it. You could do that shit with buttons for years.
