well I gave a small run earlier fooling around with Burai and alittle of Daigo. Just throwing random stuff with Daigo and fooling around with Burai's basic combo mixups.

I still love Burai to death. One of the first boxers in a fighter i'll play without hesitating. I still see there's a lack of Burai combo vids though.

But for the millionth time, it's not possible in that form in 1.01, there are variations that are possible, yes she is super jumping.

Man, I'm upset at how buggy the damn replay feature is. I will record stuff, but half the time when I watch it, it'll be completely different and I'll just be jumping around or attacking the air.

your training mode settings influence the replays of training mode.

crouch in training mode = crouch in the replay regardless if it was intended.

and thats why sharring training mode replays is pretty damn frustrating in certain situations.

If you record replays from practice mode with any kind of settings you need to go back into practice and reset them before the replays will work the way you expect.

Also if you record replays from vs try not to press the start button. Seems to cause weirdness with replays.

Occasionally the replay will desync in playback if your computer is under too much load.

That seems like a whole mess of meter usage for one combo. I try to keep my combos to 2 meters tops, but thats just me.

Heres a non-41236H combo for Rouga

j.H>5LMH(or whatever)>Rekkas>B>5M>j.LMH>2L5M>j.LM>214B>5LMH>623H 4.3k on Ren,

4.1k iif you start with a 2M>5H instead of the j.H>5LMH

(adjust according to opponent, since it probably wont work on short people.)

timmings are actually alot looser than they look. especially when connecting 214 C dash a. I use dash B in my loops, and sometimes dash crouching B.


also, you can actually do more dmg with less meter than the the ones in that vid. 6000 - 7000 for 2-3 meter depending on who your doing the combos on. Some of those are without a jumping C to start the combo too.

The Irc room is your friend. =P

Man Devil Daigo is garbage. There are like two things that he is guaranteed to fall for every time he air recovers. I dont have anyone to play against, so im just playing the CPU and its like, combo practice pretty much cause the CPU falls for everything and never blocks. Anytime with Kunagi if i do a string into 6A, the CPU will get hit by it. Every time. ABC 6A, if they block ABC, theyll def get hit by the 6A. So dumb.

its superjump(28), so your gonna wanna do
2bc 6a 63214a (wait till the 4th hit then sj cancel) into slow abc(two hits of c) then time the623a so you land with the enemy rite in standing "a" proximity. Then when you land standing "a" do it again, this time when you land youll have to normal jump, then land and otg into whatever you want. Usually its a good idea to do a combo into super since you other bar will be pretty low:/

That heita shit looked cool, bu you can do that damage with one bar..

Thing about CPU is that it always tries to wake up with a jab.

The only AI I hate is Kunagi, not cause she is hard to beat but because she doesn't stop warping around, I hate chasing =/

Also, when I was fighting Devil Daigo boss with Hanny, I literally kept doing nothing but grab, since Hanny is weak and Devil Daigo has high defense. All I kept doing was 6C (grab), Devil Daigo would air recover, throw a jab, land, get grabbed again, repeat.

EDIT: I still stay this game needs air grabs.

Also, anyone know if you can break away from grabs? Its never happened when I faught my friend or the AI which is why I have no idea if there is grab break.

There are throw breaks. Depending on your character, it's what a throw would be for him/her. The characters that throw with B will throw tech with B, and the same for the C throwing people. Burai is an exception since he only has a command throw, where his throw break is forward/back+B.

From what i can tell, it looks like they universally changed the tech times of air moves, so you can tech out much faster, this changed some of kunagi's combos. They also seem to have lowered her damage a bit and they made her recovery time on the rdp+l, h higher so it's slightly harder to combo off.

From the loke I believe they made her take more damage, as now she takes the most damage in the game.

I wonder if she uses more special meter now? she sure seems to use tons only the naka sisters use more.

With Ren, j.C,c.ABC,j.BC,ABC,dp+B,D,ABC,qcf+c,dp+C - For 16 hits/3356 damage on Burai. It's probably a bad combo, but I find it to be pretty beastly for only one bar. I don't really use specials with Ren, so I've always got meter. >_>

And man, Senna's HJC (or super jump cancel) combo is HARD... Finding myself really hard to do the 2nd HJC loop.... (I can do the 2ABC, 6A, 63214A, sjc.ABCC, 623A, 5A, and then either the foe isn't high enough for me to sjc combo again, or I miss the 2nd sjc.) I don't like putting the 2C, 6A, 5C, into 663214A cause the dash buffer is annoying. (I can see why it needs the buffer, or else it'll just do 3 hits and thus the JC timing will miss)

And man, Senna's HJC (or super jump cancel) combo is HARD... Finding myself really hard to do the 2nd HJC loop.... (I can do the 2ABC, 6A, 63214A, sjc.ABCC, 623A, 5A, and then either the foe isn't high enough for me to sjc combo again, or I miss the 2nd sjc.) I don't like putting the 2C, 6A, 5C, into 663214A cause the dash buffer is annoying. (I can see why it needs the buffer, or else it'll just do 3 hits and thus the JC timing will miss)

Hey uh, I'm at school right now so I can't really look at the combo videos posted(school blocks youtube/etc.), so I'm just gonna shoot the breeze and tell a combo I use thats probably already obsolete.

With Ren, j.C,c.ABC,j.BC,ABC,dp+B,D,ABC,qcf+c,dp+C - For 16 hits/3356 damage on Burai. It's probably a bad combo, but I find it to be pretty beastly for only one bar. I don't really use specials with Ren, so I've always got meter. >_>

Finally got to sit down and play this morning. Game kicks all kinds of ass, though I have to get used to the concept of boost in a fighter instead of Armored Core. my only compliant (and very minor) is that I wish you could p-charge in the air. That would probably break the balance though.

Claiming Senna as my main. Especially since She plays like the bastard child of Last Blade's Moriya and SS's Nakoruru. My secondary so far seems to be the Twins, but I need more practice with them

But thats all he has... He's really slow, his normals aside from jumping c ain't that special, and plenty of characters can do slightly less then him easier. Sanzou is straight. His hit box is EVERYWHERE but he has at least two unblockables that lead to set ups. He also has Pot-like super armor during certain moves. He's slow but he has a few ways of getting in. He also has a super that gives him super armor for one hit no matter what it is. Id say on wake up he is a beast cause his unblockable is fairly fast for him. Not sure on overall damage output. Still early in playing around with him to see what else he has.

For Kunagi I'd say:
Dashing C. -- Overhead and on wakeup can crossup.
A,B,2C,63214C, A,B,C j.c. A,B,C, 623C. -- easy combo decent damage
Also I am using the projectile she has and my teleports for mindgames and crossup.
Her jumping C owns hard, but dont use at certain ranges on people with out prioitizing anti air i.e. Rouga's stuper grab.

The first one is a follow up to the run move just do the the run command and then press medium or heavy and he does a punch for decent damage. The other one is a move you do while guarding, just guard an attack and then press f+H

I find myself picking Rouga when I desperately need to win a match, instead of playing good ol' Ren. It seems as if Ren's learning curve is dumb high, because I can pull of perfects with Rouga, but get perfected with Ren. Shits dumb.

In one of the Ko-Hatsu tourny vids on youtube, there was a Kunagi vs. Super Heita match. I guess all the chars. are ok to use except Devil Daigo.

I didn't realize this before, but Heita's enhance in Super mode is different from Super Heita's (the actual char.) enhance. The transformed version gives the opponent half a super meter and the normal version heals a max of 1/3 of the life bar. Heita is more complex than I thought....:looney:

Werid shit I noticed last night.

1. The Twins' throw does no damage at all. WTF?
2. Does Burai have some kind of parry with his attacks and dash? Fighting Devil Daigo last night, I somehow canceled out his normal beams and some of his attacks with timing an attack just before impact. Mostly with his light punch and jumping light though. I thought it was just like how attacks impacting at the same time cancel out like in GGX2, but it continued with some of the other opponents at werid times. (Like Dashing into an arrow shot by the twins and knocking it away.) Anyone seen this before or is my verison glitchy?
3. In a Devil Daigo match with Burai, the game glitched somehow and there was a Devil Daigo clone just hovering in the air, similar how those hovering glitches in KOF 2003 were like. The real one kept attacking though.

I love this game though. And I wanted to avoid playing Burai since everyone seems to use him, but damnit he's fun to play and might become my third.

how can u combo off of sanzou's unblockable without using a boost?? i swear i cant move after i do the unblockable but he does it on this vid at 00:53 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GzSfYBQh3Q ....also...are the unblockables with the different buttons all the same?? maaan...they need a patch for this game just for sanzou...this man seems like trash...

umm, if I remember right it's that hard to combo off either unblockable with boost you just need to time it, and then pick them up of the ground with crouching A. Also aren't the unblockables different startup/cool down speeds?

Some of those combos on fucking Dictator with Agito are fucking retarded. Are you really going from 2C to 623+C or are my eyes just shot?

Also, it's just me, and I don't mean this as offense to you, but the combos in this game are just BORING.

whats so hard about combooing unblockables? put aegis out on rising opponent stomp(gaurd break) dash cancel quick then otg into combo into aegis rinse repeat till they die.

Dictator Pot is a beast but with heita/super/kunagi/DD he's not gonna do shit.

Okay so the unblockable d,d plus button cancels into his command run, you can immediately stop it and combo out of it with a standing or cr.a, only works from certain ranges but it's pretty easy.

Also what magus posted works pretty well only real problem is that loop can be guard countered out of if you are fast.

Here's a quick midscreen no meter combo that works form anywhere and sets up unblockable loops.

cr.a, st.b, cr.c wait for them to fall a little (charge!) st.b, cr.c, qcb+c dash, cr.a, st.b, st.c xx qcf+a, c 3352 against senna! It's cool and it takes them all the way to the corner, you can boost the last qcf+a, c for some more damage or setup some sort of unblockable.

ok...i've tried that before, but the only way i know to cancel the command run is by pressing the p. follow up (canned cancel) and theres a noticeable delay before i can do anything...is there another way to cancel it?? i'm guessing its my version of the game thats the problem...is my version patched or unpatched?? how can i tell...i thought i installed the patch on there correctly...maybe i didnt..or are u guyz playing on 1.0?? which version are those combos possible?? *sigh* thanks for the help

if you do command run and press A (light attack) it immediately cancels and he slides a little bit but you can follow up pretty easily. Sometime soon I'll make you a replay file, though not today or tomorrow as it's graduation for some friends and we are getting crunk.

For comboing off the unblockable you need to cancel intot he command run then hit a again pretty quick to get the follow up, it's not too hard, but it will take a little practice. That other combo the only hard part is dashing between the qcb+c and the cr.a

I got this game recently, and I must say, its pretty kick ass. Much easier to pick up than Guilty Gear in my opinion. Any one get arcade sticks working with this yet? my playstation to usb adapter doesn't work with my SF:Anniversary Stick.

have you calibrated the driver? what kind of controller are using with it? is it working properly in other games?

MAS stick, with digital analog, ps2/dc compatible. The main thing wrong is that my converter is forcing me to use analog, also on PSX controllers, and that the digital analog button isn't working to convert the joystick to analog. The buttons themsleves work fine, I even played with the arrowkeys to move and the stick's buttons for attacking/charging etc. How exactly would I calibrate the driver, though all that seems to happen is that the hardware itself re-installs on my computer when I install the drivers, despite already being installed.

Dualshock based stick -> smartjoy adapter = working

Had to restart my machine before BBB would recognize it (Windows, argh). Then I jumped into the button config on the options program and mashed some buttons to make them usable.

Once I got into the game, changed the buttons in the options there. Been linking long, silly looking burai combos ever since.
