How so?
You talking about the black angel constantly calling people monkeys? Or the fact that Dean "punked" him in the motel?
Either way, I liked Uriel. Son was like "fuck this town" and was consistently like "Fuck you nigga" to both of the Winchesters. I hope we get to see more of him down the line. An old testament angel in the form of a black dude is not a bad thing to have on this show IMO.
I actually had to leave the room around the time Sam and Uriel had their talk, was it just a warning about his powers or did he do or say something noteworthy?

However, that whole conversation in the hotel fucked all of Sam's perceptions up. The rest of this season is going to be great.

Hey said that the only reason Sam is alive is because he's useful. The moment that stops happening, he'll personally turn him to dust. And he said, "Ask Dean what Hell was like"

Ah, I figured as much.
And I guess with what Uriel said and the way Dean was staring at that one mask, it means what fear hallucination of Lilith said of Dean remembering hell was actually true.

Uriel should be an archangel. The seven archangels are Jegudiel, Gabriel, Selaphiel, Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Barachiel (I always thought Metatron was also one because he gets to sit next to God, but I guess he isn't).
I guess he isn't one on this show, though.

Damn, I love this show!!!
I hope they eventually go into just how powerful Sam can really be. I mean, if he was able to take that demon out (and he wsa no pussy, either), lord only knows what else he is gonna be able to do. Granted, I doubt he'll be able to take an angel down, but still...
The boys NEED to get that Colt back. I mean, the knife is good and all, but the basic flaw for it is that you have to sneak up and get super close to someone to use it. Most of the time the boys have done it, it is through sheer luck. 99% of the time, the demons get the drop on them, lol. I mean, can you see either of them EVER stabbing Lilith?
The angels on the show were really awesome, though. Need them on more often...
I'm kinda glad the focus of the season seems to be a bit more on Dean than Sam. I love them both, but it seems like Dean deserves the spotlight this year. Season 1 and 2 were more Sam centered, season 3 was a bit more Dean, and this one Dean seems to be a more prominent figure, especially after tonight's episode. Not to mention, is Dean a lot funnier this season? I mean, his response after Sam telling him about hte jailbait was priceless  Yeah, I am glad they chose him of all people to be an agent of God

We knew about those headaches when we first learned he was exploiting it. It's just that the finally went against a demon that took some effort.
Also pretty sure had sam not used the power the angels would have been sent in to help him or something dean would have saved him. Sam basically damned himself going down the wrong path.

I'm pretty sure Sam at the time didn't think that the angels would come to save him given his encounter with them and felt he had no choice, and that Dean may have been busy....since he was going against a powerful demon like that. He's trying to be less relient on Dean.
Were his eyes turning black when he was using his power?

I doubt the angels would have lifted a finger to help Sam.
Dean they probably would have done something about, but I don't think even Castiel likes Sam that much, given how hesitant he was to even shake Sam's hand.
Geese Pants: The color of his eyes were difficult to see but I think they were black when he put his hand on his forehead and blood started flowing from his nose.

You are just making that up. Uriel was generally accepted as the fourth, unnamed archangel in the Hebrew Bible, and he was added to the Christian Gnostics by Pope Gregory I, who became the pope in 590 AD. That is not "modern times."
As well, Cherubim guard the Tree of Knowledge and can never leave their post (similar to how Seraphim guard the throne of God), so you are just making up that cherub bullshit too.
Anyway, I wonder what the limit on Sam's power is right now. It seems like he isn't strong enough to take out top tier demons yet.

Shit, that setup would be just fine by me. The only possible way it could be bad is if your dreamgirl's love is so crazy and out there that she somehow gets you both in trouble with the law by actually killing someone because she thought it would please you, or something. Short of that, it's a great deal.

Ted Raimi's part was surprisingly small considering how much they showed him in this episode's preview.
But that is ok because if this episode is to me known for one thing, it should be that bear.
I mean the whole build up of it being a Big Foot, to the liquor store break in, to the little girl riding on her bike with the booze and porno and to the final reveal was glorious. I am sad there wasn't any more but I don't see how they could top the puff of fluff and scream of futility afterward.
I am glad it worked out for the little girl at the end though she was like uber-cute.
Naked pervert kid was also damn funny. His appearance was comical but the fact that his wish was something, we have all thought about just made it great. Honestly it is almost weird though, I can't remember the last Supernatural opening scene where no one died or was in mortal danger.
What can you say about Todd?
I personally can understand why old dude took the coin out. Bitch was crazy, it was only a matter of time before she offed herself or someone else. Needy bitches have early expiration dates even for the desperate.

Anyone else mildly surprised at how fucked up the situation with the seals is? I mean I figure it'd be difficult but that shit sounds impossible.
Also I got the feeling that they do A LOT of raping and other forms of violations in hell from the way all the demons talked about it. I mean damn, I feel Dean in not wanting to talk about that shit.
I was a little because you sent away Ruby from that hot ass secretary but if a woman begged me like that for the pipe, I'd be hard pressed, not to oblige her. I also guess he isn't raping the body when he fucks Ruby because bitch is brain dead and her soul apparently passed on.
Damn surprised Alastor, I think, is so powerful that even Sam's attempt to exorcise him failed out the gate. And taking the demon killing knife to the chest (anyone notice it seems to have gotten bigger then the one Ruby debuted with) and only being slowed down, that dude is a monster.
Surprised one of the crossroads demons was a dude. But damn, why do those fools even bother showing up when Sam comes around, that is like a gas station clerk opening the door for a dude in a ski mask.
On the preview to next episode, I will be mad at Dean if he doesn't give that girl Anna a last night to remember and such.
I am loving the dude that plays Uriel on this show, nigga is just spitting hate with the way he delivers those lines.

Crossroad demons HAVE to answer the call. And yes thats one shitty seal system if such a small percentage of locks need to be broken. Seems like the next episode will focus a little more on Dean.
I am guessing if they don't make Alastor a main villain throughout the season, I am guessing Alastor is either going down to a lucky plan (knife or Sam, probably both) or Angel confrontation. Lilith seemed generally shocked that the powers she used to neutralize Sam were ineffective, plus it seems like Sam + Knife vs. a possessed woman body is in his favor, which might be why she ran and her choices for guys to attack Sam with in the flashback.

I wonder if Alastor is more powerful than Azazel. It seems like the demon eyes, sorted by power level go something like yellow > white > black, with red being exclusive for deal makers.
Yeah, Azazel got peaced out quickly, but that was because of the Colt. Biblically, though, he should be top tier, and on the show he was able to possess even a reaper (although I don't know why he didn't just keep that body, since it could kill anyone).
Kisame
11-14-2008, 06:47 PM
Biblically he should but the knife was shown to be just as lethal as the colt. Not only did he just tank a knife stab but he cancelled out Sam's power pathetically easy. Strongest demon we seen so far barn none.
even lilith ran when she figured out Sam was coming for her and had to set up a trap with some flunkies.

I'm going to disagree with your point about the knife. With the colt, they were able to shoot any demon anywhere and have the shot be lethal (for example, Dean shoots Azazel in the shoulder and kills him). This was obviously not the case with the knife, as Sam stabbed the deal demon through the hand without killing him while most mortal strikes were to the neck/head. Also, the show is very specific when referring to the two weapons. The colt "can kill anything" while the knife "can kill demons." Very different.
Plus, we've never seen Sam use his—which is actually Azazel's power imbued to him—power against Azazel.

Actually back in season 1, they drove Azazel from their father's body by just shooting him in the leg with the Colt, meaning it isn't always fatal.

Although the way Anna described being angel in having no emotions must be the for angels higher on the totem pole, because every scene Uriel is in the boy radiates HATE.
Seriously the only flaw is a lack of single regular dime piece, but the reoccurring hot women that appear are almost enough to make up for it.

Yeah same for Smallville (and smallville next ep is the Geoff Johns ep) bah fucking CW
I haven't watched smallville for about two seasons... but Geoff Johns ep? I'm there. He's my favorite comic writer ever.
EDIT: Oh, and its the Legion episode, too? Awesome.
Okay, back to Supernatural.

Girl was already fallen and besides Dean is "chosen". Despite it sucking not getting new episodes for a while, a damn good way to start a mid season break.

Just copped mine as well. Might have been BF related, but I dont really care. Target seemed to have the same deal, but at least this way I didn't have to get out and deal with all the crazies out there:lol:
Or was it House that Target had on sale? All I know is it is too early to be up...
