A person showed up at a street fighter get together the other night with a Saturn style ps2 pad. I thought I'd look it up.

Checked on ebay typing in every variation of the keywords "saturn" "sega" "ps2" psx" "controller" "playstation" imaginable. Got absolutely not results of this pad.

Then I went to search on yahoo for a store that would sell this. Gosh, went through about 25 pages and only found one store in England and the total price with S&H is $50!

This is insane, anybody know of where I can buy this pad?

$50 is actually good for the pad. They used to sell it for $35 + shipping from Play Asia awhile back. I have a Darkstalkers version ( an extra one) boxed, but even I would not part with it for $50 myself...

You mean this one:

I paid £19 pounds ($38 usd) for it. The $50 version you are talking about has a USB extension instead of a PS2 one.

Edit: Just get it.

Honestly though, I've owned one, and while I will admit, it is a very sweet controller, if you already have a joystick... it kind of loses it's purpose for street fighter. It's mostly for novelty purposes and if you have people who can ONLY use pads that frequent your street fighter gatherings.

Well these pads were originally made for the Saturn games ported over to the PS2 in the Sega Ages line. :looney:
