So after a really long thinking session with myself, I decided that I wanted to buy a sit-down/candy cab for my room. Part of the reason being that I want a place to play the fighters that haven't come out on console yet, and to just have a perfect replica of whatever game I'm playing. No, I don't want a supergun.

I've been looking around various sites looking at cabs and their prices, trying to find one that I liked, had good compatibility, and was cheap. I soon noticed that I'd never find a cab like that. Here are some cabs that I'm looking at right now:

1) Super Neo 29
2) New Astro City
3) Blast City
4) New Versus City
5) Naomi Universal

And here are the games I want to play on them:

King of Fighters XI
Third Strike
Act Cadenza
Arcana Heart

I have absolutely no experience whatsoever with cabs, so I'm basically feeling around in the dark here. I prefer the one player cabs, and don't really have a need for two player cabs, but I'll get it if its good and cheap. If you could give me some suggestions on what to buy, pros and cons of buy each cab, what I should do, and where to get these without having to pay like $1.2k for shipping, you'd be most appreciated. Thanks.

The Naomi Uni doesn't come tri-res from the factory, at least the Japanese and European models don't (they are high-res/VGA only but can most often be fitted with an aftermarket tri-res chassis).

You mean you don't need a Versus City-style cabinet with separate screens for each player, right? Because buying a cab just to play fighters against the CPU AI would be, well, a waste...

Yeah, and wasted room where 2p controls could be placed. Even though I rarely play with another person when at home(where my cab would be If I had one) I'd still have the extra set of controls there just in case.

Also a 1-player cabinet? That would just look...Strange!

this is very common in japan and you get much better view of playing on a 1player cab

Is there anyone who sells these cabs in america? Preferably east coast? I looked at the link, but they weren't selling anything I had interest in (at least, not interested anymore.) And yeah, I'm looking into a tri-resolution(or a high & med support) cab now. Any other cabs besides Naomi Universal that supports such?

Once again the Naomi Uni does not come tri-sync ready from the factory. To my knowledge the only tri-sync ready candy cabinets are the Taito Egret III, Sammy Atomiswave SD, Sega Blast City, Sega New Net City and Konami Windy II. Most monitors can be fitted with an aftermarket tri-sync chassis though.
