Dead or Alive 3, DOAU, or DOA4?

Which one do you like best because of backgrounds, gameplay, etc.? I think DOAU had the best backgrounds. I also feel DOA3 had the best fighting system because it's in between DOAU's, and DOA4's. And DOA4 obviously has the best graphics. But all in all, I think DOAU is the best all-around due to all the unlockables. What do you guys think?

Fast game play

Better Combo System

Little more game play balance (although people still whore out reversals like nothing)

DOAU is actually a pretty good game coupled with the fact it's so cheap now, but if you have a chance to get DOA4 skip DOA3 because DOA4 is a cleaned up and more tuned version of DOA3.

Actually, the best version of DOA is DOA 3 (NTSC-J), otherwise known as DOA3.1. It is a much better all around fighting game than 4. In fact, imo, DOA4 took a step back from DOA3.1. PM me if you want more info about DOA3.1 and why it's so much better than DOA4.

DOA++ is the shit as far DOA games go.

The biggest reason why 3.2 isn't played in the states (by the majority of those who played 3.1/3.2 competitively) is because the FSD system was toned down to decrease the evasiveness of Hayate's Cartwheel. However this would mean that side-stepping to avoid an attack was lowered evasion as well. The loss of a new sidestep option was too much of a hindering factor when the players could just say that Hayate's cartwheel was banned.

DOA++ is fun, it's basically a hardcore DOA4 without a Stun Threshold system, no walls. and no FSD with the exception of teching.
