This doesn't merit its own thread but I'm going to make one anyways because I've terrorized enough threads to merit making a stupid thread.

Can someone provide me with the european standard for precut wood that you'd want to make a custom sanwa stick. I'm writing an article for a european magazine and I realize how embarrassing it'd be if I said 1"x3". thanks in advance

Hi, AFAIK there are no standards as such, we just calculate everything in centimeters instead of inches (just the metric system). This is for mainland Europe, in the UK we are supposed to use the metric system as well, but if you refer to feet and inches people will understand you.

Here you just buy like a square meter of board/wood, or whatever shape/size and you start working on it. Unless of course I completely misunderstood your question :).
