I couldnt get a job for the life of me in socal, things are bad there, so I had to go move with my mom... it sucks cuz I cant even afford to go to evo. I've only been here a week I hope things look up soon.

Pics - so that the eye may bless me with the fortune of maybe this one working out - http://picasaweb.google.com/gamerguyca/PicsForTheEYE?authkey=_tH1wqLMOTY
Date summary: Okay so we were originally scheduled to meet on sunday, but after some hodgepodge b/s regarding his sister, we had to reschedule til tuesday. The date was set for 330. Well, monday he calls me and tells me that the company he worked for (a call center) let him and many other employees go. Apparently this is happening alot if you check the unemployment thread here.
So we're still on for tuesdays date, but instead of me going to his work, he was just going to give me a call because he had some job leads he wanted to scope out in the early part of the day. Well, 430 rolls around and I still hadn't heard from him, so I go to the arcade here for a few hours, eat at mcdonalds and STILL hadnt heard from him, so I call him at 730 and he apologizes because he had kinda a quasi interview / orientation for some cab driving place. I'm pretty pissed so I bluntly ask him if we're hanging out or not, so I can know if I need to go home or what. He asks if he can call me back when he gets home which would be in 20minutes.
So I start driving towards his place (its not near where I live but no biggie if I get stood up to drive home) and stop at the mcdonalds about a block away. He calls me and says that things have been a mess since the job layoff and he's basically been wrecked and doesnt know what to do, and he doesnt want to bring me down and I've got my whole life ahead of me and he feels like he's a big loser. Now clearly he's got some confidence issues, but I know what its like to be thrown into a shit situation and how that can make you feel about yourself, and im pretty good at not falling for that self deprecation shit, so I tell him, listen I'm down the street, if you want to talk thats cool, if not say so and I'll go home.
To quickly get to the conclusion I went over, we finally met and talked and he actually seems like a really great guy. He's pretty good about saying something almost cheesy to make me feel good. Which is something my ex's were never good at. So I like that. He also was a drummer for like 30 years, and so thats interesting too. We talked about things, and he and I are in similar situations, alot of moving around recently trying to find a place to ground ourselves and get back on our feet. That helped me to really understand why he wasn't being quite like himself. Another random tidbit is that he shortly dated the guys house whom my car accident occured in front of back in october. Creepy small world, but we had fun talking shit about him. Other than that just watched HGTV (per my request) and talked
Date #2 is set for friday, he actually asked me "when can I see you again?" which was kinda romantic, we'll see how that goes. It had a rough start but so far things got preeeeeeettttyyyy good.
No sex yet.

Heh. So I woke up to go to work only to remember that I go in from noon until 4 right at the front door. I R smart. :looney:
Pics for the EYE
Haha. Nice tittle.
Sucks to hear about him getting stiffed of a job like that all of a sudden without a warning. You would think his company would have given their employees prior notice but I guess ethics is overrated these days.
-So yesterday my BF, his friend and sister passed by my place for a surprise visit (well...mainly so they could use my pool. :P). So after we see that there might be lightning nearby we decide to head back to my place. Funny thing: my mom gets home from work right at the same time. So as I let them in my mom is smiling and being nice, especially at the girls. My BF even played with the thought that she might be saying "So he finally brought girls into the house! TWO of them even!"
The rest of the day was good. Watched a movie and sketched a butterfly for my BF's sister as a tattoo (if she doesn't suspect me being gay from that I don't know what will )

I'm near Kendall/Westchester, but I could ride to you if anything at all (courtesy of my man since I can't drive my car just yet). It would be especially cool since at least it gives us an excuse to leave the place, which we don't get to do very often though.

It is obvious we share the same standards of quality iirc your man is not so bad on the eyes either.
So I'm pretty stoked about friday, but my mom has been giving me shit for going out while unemployed, I have the right mind to tell her I'm going out on dates with older men rather than I'm going to the arcade. I just dont want her to be too jealous that I can line up 4 dates in the 9 days ive been here while she hasnt got any :arazz:

Honestly, we're pretty much in the same boat. Most of what we do at home consists of me playing something with him watching/FAQing/playing as well or us watching some nerdy shit. Not that I mind gaming at all (we're definitely playing CVS2 or something), but sometimes I'd just rather get out and do something, maybe have a few beers (or Smirnoffs or whatever) and play pool/bowl or something.

Azag: Me and Rob talked and yeah mainly we just wanna chill over dinner. We'll see if anything comes up after a while since he's going on a cruise next week.
-So late last night me and BF had a good talk about random things when suddenly he brought up the subject of this dude at his job who keeps flirtin with him named Andres. So far this character has had the audacity to refer to me as Rob's "friend" and talk crap about "If Rob lost 100 pounds I'd totally go out with him". So far it just makes Rob laugh at how sad this 20 year old is and yet it's annoying in that he does shit like this every day. Not only that but he also offered him tickets to Circe De Solei. Yeah, this dude is trying too hard.
So next week I'm planning on seeing my BF before he leaves for the cruise at his job and hopefully run into this Andres. I ain't gonna do anythin rash but I'm sure me kissin my baby will shut his damn mouth. :D

What's good? This thread only moved a page and I've been gone like 2 weeks! Sup with that?
I spent a week in cali which was pretty cool, but then I just spent this last weekend with Wayne in Canada (Vancouver BC) and it was too awesome for words. Pretty much the most fun I've had ever. A new record for time spent together! We went to an air show friday and then spent the rest of the weekend in a nice hotel. I've never had a hotel room much less a nice one. I didn't even get carded once when ordering drinks (GOD IT WAS COOL ORDERING DRINKS) and I drank every time we went out to eat! lol, I love canada.
Unfortunately, I came home to a rather buzzkill moment - my apartment, fucking. T-R-A-S-H-E-D. I told my nephew he could stay here one night, and what does he do? Apparently parties all fucking week and doesn't clean one god damned thing up. I don't want to sit here typing up paragraphs and paragraphs of what was wrong when I came back, but let's just say the place was fucking disgusting and now I've managed to get it to just plain 'gross'.
Anyway, I'm trying to ignore that it happened because spending so much time with Wayne was so phenomenal that I don't want to ruin that feeling. :bgrin: I love him more and more each time we hang out. He's so fucking adorable and perfect for me. Like seriously fairy tale perfect for me. I fucking love it. How is this even possible?

Happy birthday!
There's a difference between enjoying ones self, and breaking your word and completely, SAVAGELY disrespecting me and my home. It'd be one thing if I came home and he had broken his word, partied here all week, and then left it relatively messy, or even, GASP, cleaned it up. Even then, he's fucking fourteen years old and only by a month. There was
vomit covered clothes/towels
weed resin, paraphenalia, hookah coal dust, cigarettes, trash, wrappers, etc. fucking everywhere
dishes so disgusting I had to throw them away
rotting food in the garbage cans
garbage in the bathroom filled to the brim with bloody paper towels
dried blood on the toilet, not to mention how nasty it was in general
my bike was/is gone
pools of butter(?) amongst other nasty things all over the countertops on the kitchen
rotting nasty butter/who knows what else caked into my frying pan
sink FULL of fucking disgusting dishes with food caked on them from probably the beginning of the week
every last bit of food is gone (and I don't have money to buy more)
and the list goes on. He gave me his word that ONLY he would stay there, and it was obvious there was many people here. He also promised he'd stay here one fucking night, and I was here for a minute between my cali and canada trips and he was definitely there way more often than that.
I'd have him come clean it up but he's not allowed in my house anymore. I cleaned for several hours upon arrival, took out at least 4 full trashcans full of trash, and my apartment is still so messy that I'd be upset coming home to even THIS, if that gives you any idea of how bad it was. It was like a bad teen movie when the parents come home after the kid threw a kegger at their house.
JustB
08-10-2008, 10:49 PM
Thanks :D
I still think there should be more consequences than him just not being allowed in your home any more. Pretty sure if it was my family, parents would have been informed, asses would have been beaten and accountability would be enforced. But, then again, with my family 14 is considered too young to not be at home each night or at some place where there are adults around.
It's great that you're having such a good time with your man though. I agree, don't let your home's condition ruin your mood ^_~

08-10-2008, 11:55 PM
Yeah, if he werent physically dead, he'd be dead to me for sure. But... its like I always say, dont do any favors for anyone you cant physically beat without risk of legal reprocussion. So basically... everyone.
Man, I'm pissed at your nephew just thinking about it. It's great that you had an amazing time though, thats always good. God, its been too long since I've had an amazing time (technically may) but even then it was just one night, I'm definitely longing for some amazingness with someone that could potentially be long term....
Ah well.

No, but looking at jeans (probably preppy store jeans?) with a pink shirt on could probably come across as gay. But no, we don't just see pink shirt and think OH HE MUST BE GAY. :looney:

Did he tell you he was gay and/or try to ask you out?
Because I know that there are just those kinds of people in the world who see someone interesting and are inquisitive or want to be friends.
I've only ever once approached someone who I thought was gay but wasn't, it was at one of my friend's high school graduation parties, and I had known the guy for a while. He dressed like an emo kid and had some of the stereotypical mannerisms, so I tried to ask him out. I think it weirded him out and I felt embarrassed. I have the weakest gaydar ever.

Most of my gaydar has to do with body language as opposed to clothing (though faux hawks wouldn't do anything to convince me of heterosexuality).

This is true for me as well. Outside of internet hotties, 10 times out of 10 every guy I've approached or hit on has ended up being straight.
The thing is I don't really assume the dudes are gay or anything (most of the guys I'm into aren't exactly flamers but that doesn't mean the possibility isn't there), and for that reason I don't think guys should get offended or anything when they get hit on like that.

My gaydar sucks. In fact, if I find a guy attractive my first rule basically is "he's gay until proven otherwise." Having said that, I don't even attempt to flirt with a guy unless there are definite signals that he is gay or he is interested in me. Futhermore, I wouldn't aggressively hit on a guy if there was any ambiguity or doubt.
The way a guy dresses is not a definite clue. There are plenty of stylish straight men. I also hope straight folks don't think gay men are overly aggressive jerks when they flirt. Last thing, I feel flattered with straight girls get hit on me-- straight guys should feel flattered when they get hit on by gay men.

Okay so I almost crashed my car today....
I was on my way to the local arcade, and I conveniently have to pass by a Casual Male XL AND some mom and pop big and tall emporium (can you even have a mom and pop emporium?) anyway, theres a well framed gentleman walking up to the building, and i guess either his ass was hungry or something had moved in the car because he did an olympic gold medal pants readjustment. I mean literally like dug in and repositioned..... well everything.
This all happened in a matter of seconds, but If there were any other cars on the road or any walls I woulda hit it. Usually I'm tactful and wouldnt think about cruising a big and tall store (have thought about working at one, but word on the street is that alot of chasers (guy and girl) work there) and likeliness is the guy was straight (not close enough to use my high quality gaydar) but it made me realize I'm must be getting desparate if I focused that much attention on fluke event.
Crazy thing is, its been over 2 months since my last relationship, and I think thats the longest gap I've had ever. Companionship levels are LOW, and its about time to have that nsa sex that doesnt require dinner or a movie first, and that isnt with a creepy guy just looking to get some... you know the kinda nsa sex you can only find in a relationship

Wow... so today was my first time trying to use nair on some of my body hair. I definitely should have had a plan, next time I'm going to use a zone method like one body part at a time (right leg then left or something)... Other than that it worked really well, so That's a plus. =)

Yeah, I had cystic acne when I was a teenager, so as you can imagine I still have some cysts like in areas like my armpits, so when I would do things that make me sweaty, the hair in those areas would collect the oils and stuff and make the dormant cysts in those areas inflame. And that crap is painful, so I finally nixed that problem. :woot:
In short I don't mind body hair, but mine had to go as I just explained.

No no no. There is a difference between looking effeminate, and being a complete flamer. As someone who is primarily attracted to androgynous looking people, I really don't find the Bruno look attractive. On the other hand, Bill Kaulitz looking folk, that's a different story entirely.
I am currently in the process of figuring out what body part I'm going to get the hair lasered off of next.

Just curious, how much does it cost you on average to get this kinda thing done. I've been looking into it myself, but all the places I've asked have been hesitant to give prices and such.
Cystic acne things
Interesting that nairing stuff seemed to solve things in part for you. I find that while the cystic bit gets better for me, I just break out more in the "normal" fashion when I nair/shave/wax.

What do normal gay guys think of those feminine type guys?
What do you even mean what do I think about them? Like faka I think "gayyyy." and that's about it. If they're trying really hard to be feminine instead of just being themselves (and happening to act feminine), it'll bother me and I'm not likely to hang out with them or enjoy their presence. I don't discriminate though, I don't like feminine girls either. I hang out with tomboyish chicks. And I could never be attracted to a guy like that - I don't even like guys my age and if you're feminine that's like two strikes, I can't help it.
P.S. Body hair is beautiful and natural, you guys are committing crimes against nature! Shame! Shame! For that much money I'd fucking personally remove your body hair every time it showed up. Gah damn.

I usually do also. That was me being intellectually lazy. I was using it in the sense there is a difference between the "natural" world, and "human nature". For instance cities and cars are not apart of the "natural" world, because they are uniquely human. And just because something isn't aprt of the "natural world" dosn't mean it's bad. Though I would love to get rid of the latter.
I was trying to say that i don't think that there is anything wrong with people shaving their body hair. My last partner shaved all of their body hair. But i prefer people to just let grow what will.

I stood there for about a minute, looking away until I just said it. "Rob, he game them to me".
"So you're a homosexual?" To which I said "Yes". She looked away and I asked her "Is there something wrong with that?". She just shook her head and said no.

Actually my BF and I already planned our next trip. It's going to have to be next year because of money issues right now, but he has to be in Orlando next year in June for a trade show, and it's during the weekend, but that week is gay days at all the theme parks. So we're going some days earlier, probably for a week and kicking it there and going to theme parks. :-)
We went to Knott's Berry Farm the other day because it was my company picnic there, and we had a fucking awesome time. My last BF got dizzy doing anything, so he never even rode a coaster. We went on every coaster at least a few times each, had a caricature done of us having drinks, went to a bunch of photo booths and took pics, played and won cheap stuffed animals, which we proceeded to give to our dog to chew up (lasted about 30 minutes). 'Twas fun.

Apparently those are "legends" in the scene, with over 10+ years of performing at balls. Underground icons.

'Twas fun.
Did you ride the Ghostrider? I remember it being intensely jarring, on the account it's ancient and wooden. I never feel safe on that ride, but that's part of the charm. The first drop catches me off guard everytime.

Someone explain to me why it's wrong to have an "answer for everything" Why is that so off putting?
I get accused of that regularly from people at work to a few of my friends. I thought that expression is ment for those types of people that ... are like person 3 in the following conversation.
Person 1: I have a red fire truck
Person 2: That's really nice, I like red fire trucks.
Person 3: I have like 8 fire trucks and my cousin owns a firetruck plant.
But I mean I"m not that guy.. Like i would think person 3 is more of a brag but that's not me. But instead i'm more of
Person1: This dog hates when you wear anything red.
Person2: Really? Does he attack when you wear red?
Person3: Dogs cant see color. It's got to be something else you are doing that makes the dog attack. Also, dogs don't hate.
I don't see how that would be so off putting.
Anyways how is everyone, anybody come out? anyone go from pre-op to post-op yet?

GTC, I thought you were dead, or had found some secret deserted island filled with hot bears but with no internet.
And I barely saw Blodia's comment. No, I didn't go on ghostrider, but I have been on it before, it's pretty cool, but it's more of an old school coaster and not as crazy as the other rides there.
JustB
09-18-2008, 07:37 AM
Ha! If GTC was not at the island with hot bears and no internet, I hope he finds it soon!
GTC: It's probably in how you're delivering it. As persons 1 and 2 aren't thinking about or don't understand how dogs can't see red, you may not be realizing that it might be your tone that is off-putting? I may just be projecting though since it's recently been brought to my attention that I have a generally smug aura and I have no realization or control of my facial expressions.
No "post-op" yet. Unless you count the seemingly never-ending series of painful subtle cosmetic changes. I just had pixel laser resurfacing yesterday and i'm still a bit swollen. I'll see if it was worth it in 6 days.
Anyways, glad to see you guys are still around. I'm also interested in how everyone's doing.
Edit: Oh yeah, since I'm an exhibitionist, latest pics of me available for anyone interested.

So, i was passing through the student annex at my college today, and there was a Club Recruitment Fair going on. The usual suspects were there: Student Work, FAFSA (agriculture), Earth Science Club, etc.
Then I did a double take when i saw the Lesbian Gay Bi Transgender/sexual Club booth. I nearly missed it completely, if it weren't for the bright rainbow flags and rainbow peace signs hanging everywhere. I wasn't aware we had one, and i slowed my pace down while walking semi-toward it (i nearly bumped into someone head on). Saw a bunch of key chains, bumper stickers, and the sort.
At first, I thought "oh, interesting, didn't know we had one here. neat. What's this all about..."
That quickly spiralled into a depressing mood because, squinting for a couple of seconds I read, at a distance, something that irked me. "... & HIV/AIDS Club." I went on my way right after. The guy at the booth just stared at me as I walked quickly down the steps (next class was about to start), and I gave a nod back.
I guess i prefer an organization that isn't advertising and associating, de facto, the GLBT community and culture with a life killing disease. Or any STD. Yeah contracting the HIV virus is more prominent with LGBT, but it's not exclusive as most of the organizations I've come across have made it seem (awareness). HIV/AIDS doesn't discriminate.
I don't like the stereotypes, especially when the LGBT people are doing it themselves and making it worse. It's not doing anyone any favors.

If you don't have an std you arent homosexual. Clearly. Std's ONLY happen to gays and the more you love the cock the more std's you have.
Nothing ever happens to straight people.. those god fearing straight people making babies just like god wants.. Also in case you didn't know SIDS only happens to gay babies, Breast cancer only happens to gay women, herpes only happens to gay people also, The only way to not die is to be straight.

and I have a story to add to this as well. This happened just 2 days ago (it must be intolerance month, or stupidity week.. )
I was going to a datacenter that i frequent for work.
My wallet has a small gay rainbow flag on it. the security guard saw it .. he's an ugly 60+ year old white guy with like 2 feet in the grave already.
so he says:
"hmmmph"
"what's up frank"
"I see you are one of them *mumbles*"
"One of????? who?"
*he looks down at my wallet*
Me: Oh .. well *shrug* yep!
"In my day we used to beat up guys like you"
Me: The gays? or the blacks?
"... I ... you know what i mean!"
Me: If you want to .. have at it frank I'm ready anytime you are.
"... *mumbles* .. I used to.."
Me: Yes yes.. but i bet alot of things changed since then, Back then words like efferdent or correctol probably didnt mean much to you.
*he tosses my badge back at me and is like avoiding eyecontact with me*
So whatever.. He's a freakin security guard i dont' give a fuck i can have him canned just for those comments alone. which is probably why he didn't let me hear the stuff he mumbled. Some people are just idiots.

I'm technically in my college's LGBTQ club, it's called the Rainbow Alliance. At first I thought that it would be a neat way to find other gay guys and I don't know what I expected, maybe that they'd have more of a social focus than a political one, but I guess in this state the political side needs to be much more active.
Bleh, I've been being beaten bloody by school and work and I haven't been doing much in my spare time, and on top of it, it seems I have caught a cold.
I'm pretty sure AIDS is what makes you gay. I have nothing to back this up, but my cousin, who dropped out of school when he was 11, said that's how it works. He also told me that gay people were invented by the government to destroy Africa, or something along those lines. I'm sure it's all true, though.
But that security gaurd sounds like a real class act, reminiscing about when he was younger and would beat up on gays. It's almost cute, in and old fashioned bigot sort of way. You should have had a chat about when there were "White's Only" water fountains and restrooms, to keep him going. Maybe move on to how the hippies and their drugs ruined the nuclear family.
Oh, and I may be up in New York again in a month or two. If that happens, we should meet up again. This time I'm not telling anyone I'll be there except for the people I intend to visit. Last time was a circus.

So I'm in this class called Religion and TV, and we saw this today:
http://www.yes2marriage.org/media/ (2nd video)
Here's the actual amendment, the full amount of which is never once mentioned in any advocating sites or sources so far:
"Inasmuch as marriage is the legal union of only one man and one woman as husband and wife, no other legal union that is treated as marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recognized."
So they pretty much want to fuck over anyone gay or straight with a domestic partnership in the state, but won't admit it. Sweet.

phew. I got swamped here. Been busy the past few weeks moving and im almost done. I tried to not hurt myself too much lifting heavy furniture and other wares. Becuase i've been too busy to cook anything, and also all of the cooking tools are at the other place including the fridge, i've been subsisting on fast food. Man, i haven't had fast food on daily basis since my diet change back in early spring, and i'm turning cross eyed. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, ugh. My heightened sense of nutrition makes it all taste awful. The preservatives, the salt, all of it is disgusting. I wouldn't have cared or noticed to differentiate the different restaurants before. If i were to tier the restaurants now, McD is bottom tier. My highest out of the burger joints would have to In-N-Out, one of the places I've liked regardless if i was on my diet or not. If you're ever in California, make sure to eat at In-N-Out, you won't regret it. And mindful of eating healthfully while still fastfoodin'it, i've gone to Subway at least everyday these past few weeks. Can't beat a fresh sub. Double spinach, mmm. I'm looking forward to regular meals after this is over, i don't think i can stomach another french fry.
There's an ad running for Proposition 8 on tv out here in California, and I find it disappointing. It proposes to eliminate Gay Marriage and invalidate all of the same-sex marriage licenses back in july. One of the lines in the tv ad is "It teaches elementary kids gay marriage" as a scare tactic. Criminey, what i'm afraid of is that there are people out there that will blow it out of proportion and will have an influence on the average joe schmo. But you could say these kinds of propisitions are inevitable and to be hopeful that people will move foward have increase their tolerance.

I'm having trouble adjusting to the sex drive difference of dating someone almost thirty years older than me. :wasted:
I've got what I wanted, I guess, which was to get to see him a lot more. I work right by where he works so I carpool with him to and from work, and it results in us seeing each other more, me sleeping on his couch more than my bed, etc. etc. On one hand it's great, on the other hand, I miss how we used to do it every time we saw each other. I haven't gotten laid since a week from Saturday. Ugh. I hate to bitch about something like that but dude... I'm a teenage male. It's so hard for it not to be an issue. Doesn't stop me from feeling like a douche for this being something to whine about though. Also for the first time since I've known him, it's really weird dating a republican. Stupid election time of year - I hate it. I've always hated it, and now it's a little bit worse because I have to listen to all sorts of political crap on the radio and it makes me sick to my stomach. I start my mornings in a good mood, waking up and showering with him, and then by the time I hear all the political news on the radio, I'm spitting mad when I get to work. It's his car and he enjoys keeping up on the crap, so I can't protest, so I'll whine about it here!
Speaking of being a teenager, not for long! I'm 20 on the 15th. Stupid 20. I wish it was 21! I have no idea what I want for my birthday. Hey guys what do I want for my birthday? What's cool and shit? I don't keep up on anything nor do I have any next gen systems. I doubt it, but any serious suggestions?

I've got what I wanted, I guess, which was to get to see him a lot more. I work right by where he works so I carpool with him to and from work, and it results in us seeing each other more, me sleeping on his couch more than my bed, etc. etc. On one hand it's great, on the other hand, I miss how we used to do it every time we saw each other. I haven't gotten laid since a week from Saturday. Ugh. I hate to bitch about something like that but dude... I'm a teenage male. It's so hard for it not to be an issue. I can't imagine getting married!
Speaking of being a teenager, not for long! I'm 20 on the 15th. Stupid 20. I wish it was 21!
Damn, wtf? I live with my boyfriend, and he's older than wayne...no problem there. He's a horny bitch. ;D

Yo dude, where you living? You moved to Cali?
And get used to those prop 8 things, I'm tired of them, but mostly the ones telling you to vote NO on prop 8. yes, I'm gay, but you get bombarded with this shit whenever you go to gay events. I went to gay pride in san diego, and I probably had about 20+ people come up to me the whole weekend talking about it. We kept saying someone already spoke to us, thanks. I just want this election to be over.
And yes, In-n-Out is top tier. But Tommy's Hamburgers > *
I've lived in CA my whole life, just moved to another place in the Monterey Bay Area (Central Coast). Yeah, it's the middleish of cali, closer to SF. I've moved alot, so i'm use to it. I'll be moving again within a year or so for school, so this'll be in the meantime.
yeah, election year gets pretty aggressive. It's everywhere. Still important, though. If i had a sign and a slogan, mine would be: "BV5 '08. Hugs, you know you need them." cuz, you know, hugs are cool. and my logo will be a bear instead of a donkey or elephant.
A double-double with a neopolitan shake and large fries is too good. I've never had a Tommy's, though.
21 isn't all that. I turned it last march, and i don't really feel different. I've gotten away with alchy and gone to bars way before than. I guess age is pretty relative. Something cool to get for your birthday is: free shots (any bar will give you the first shot free if you say it's your birthday), get an mp3 player if you don't have one already, a Nintendo ds + final fantasy tactics A2, or pig out at a really nice and expensive restaurant. For my 20th, i don't remember what i got... uh, i think it was food. haha.

Yeah, that's essentially Prop 2 here in Florida. In many of the they claim it won't invalidate any preexisting civil unions or benefits, but apparently they're straight up lying about that.
It's really under the radar here, as far as I know. Only place I've heard/seen it mentioned is in a class.

Well actually we came to a better compromise on the sex thing, so I take that back. His job just tires/stresses him out way too much, I can understand coming home exhausted and not having the energy.
21 isn't all that.
For me it is! You don't sound like as much of a social butterfly or a lush as me. I'm the last one in my friend group turning 21 so it's extra frustrating. I went to a show last night and danced with a bunch of cute gay couples with at least one bear-type and it was awesome. I can't even wait to be able to do that drunk.
Is final fantasy tactics A2 new, or is it that older remake?

I got all kinds of silly stuff going on. The most notable is a 'party' that I got invited to from a girl I haven't heard from in months. Basically, she's trying to get in to selling "adult novelties" and is having a sampling session at her place. I'm debating on if I actually want to go or not. I mean she was alright, I guess. Not unattractive, but someone who drinks, smokes, gambles, and loves Jesus? She was telling me it was a girl's thing, but I could bring any gay friends I wanted to. I have this feeling that she wants me there to be some kind of novelty to help increase her image so she can sell more product. Initially I wanted to go because I was only thinking about having an opportunity to get to know more people, but now I'm wondering if trying to meet people just to know them is really feasible at this kind of event?
Oh and I just saw "The Story of Gangstalicious, Part 2" from The Boondocks, Season 2. This may sound lame, but that episode really touched me (i even cried ), especially the end.

Hooray for free access from ignorant peoples.

Let's talk about "gaydar" for a minute.
I don't normally think about this much, but my instincts about someone's orientation have become noticeable. I interact with strangers everyday at work, and you sort of pick up on things. Some people are easy to read, some are not, but there's a subtly there i can sense about them. Observations and mannerisms, and i don't know if it's contiguous everywhere else in the US. Now, i don't "out them" or make signals or whatever, because i really don't know for certain I don't think i'll ever know inside the context in which i usually find myself in. There was this one time, this guy said to me "you got a nice smile", but i didn't think much of it because judging from his personality, i'm sure he's the casual complimentary type. Then again, i was alone with no other people around, and he talked me up a bit. I kept the conversation on track with the context, but maybe it could've went somewhere else.
anyway, what do you think about "gaydar"? or is it just a strong sense of intuition?

OMG, you need to spice up this thread. And the only way to do it is by making a move on this guy!!!!!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOO IT!
Here are the steps...
1. Subtly let him know you are gay. "I am so glad I don't have to deal with PMS!"
2. Subtly let him know you are interested in him. "So... you're cute and you're single? What the hell is wrong with you?"
3. If he flirts back with you, set the trap. "Have you been to the XYZ Lounge? They serve the best Vodka Tonics in town."
4. After a few drinks, you'll be ready to capture him. "The roof of my apartment has a grew view of the city..."
5. PROFIT!
