ok, the 3-way didn't happen, which is good, was still a bit nervous about that. Just had some one-on-one playtime with the older of the pair. God did I need that. I'm surprised I'm still sore from the roughness as well as the bites on my shoulders. Doesn't matter, it's a good kinda sore. :3

God damnit. So as if I wasn't salty enough about SF4... it brought a whole shitload of new people to our biggest and best fighting game gathering in the state for like... years. A whole shitload of people. Too many people... and the inevitable happened. Some douchebag randoms brought some douchebag fucking random friends, and they stole shit. Stole some niggas shoes (WTF?) and then some chick's money and her driver's license (again, wtf??) and someone's zune. Everyone's bags were rifled through. Now the shit's ruined because there ain't no way some fucking spineless thief is gonna come forward. There's a very small suspect base because I guess there were people there that weren't interested in fighting games, weren't socializing, and had no reason to be there, yet some douchebags decided they were good folk to bring to this man's gracious event. I'm especially sad I didn't get to go because it very well may have been my last chance. Our scene's taken a big hit, no matter what the outcome, and I'm really frustrated. :sad:

You missed out on some good times (minus the whole theft thing). It just sucks because for Seattle/NW Preppy's was like the command center for all of us. And in a flash *POOF* it's all gone and we are just sitting there kinda lost and trying to figure out what to do....I just hope we can manage to like hold the scene together as best as we can. After EVO and seeing everyone wanting to play more and get better was really awesome to see...

If more people did it purely for legal reasons and didn't do it for "love", then I don't think I would personally have such a problem with marriage. ...Anyway, since this thread looks like it's getting busy again, there's a couple of things I've been meaning to ask, primarily with regards to something I'm writing (whenever the hell I get around to writing it). Since I have a poor record with regards to not offending people it seems, I'll try to keep this brief (especially since I have other things to do anyway):


The most personal question I have is perhaps the most asked one already, but with a twist (no, not bad M. Night one): Why did you decide to label yourself "gay" (if you actually call yourself that) or at least "not straight"? I ask this aware that most people wouldn't ask "straight" people this question--though I am not one of them--and such, but I also ask it because in a different vain than simply being "closeted" or not "out" or whatever.
I suppose with this question comes another: Why does it seem so prevalent that labeling comes up in the face of "experimentation", at least with regards to men? I mean, we all know about "lipstick lesbians" (and for what I'm writing, I don't really care about that since I already have two "actual" lesbians planned, so no need for "fakers"). I'm especially confused (or perhaps just find it ironic) that it tends to be men with men rather than men with women, especially when it comes to guys that "gay men" think/wish were also gay--this notably seems to be with celebrities. I understand that this again sort of gets tangled up with whole the "closet issue" in the case of just sleeping with women to feel/look "normal", but I'm more talking about geniune experimentation to figure which sex you like. (Granted, I'm perhaps also asking this question because I don't know how I feel about sexual experimentation--okay, that's a bit of lie since I know that I don't like it--being a prude and all.)

1. I'm more attracted to men than women, so why not label myself gay? I won't deny there are some beautiful girls out there, but ultimately I can't see myself with them like I would with guys.

2. Masculinity going into homoerotic directions tends to bring out the worst in straight guys, whereas if they were to happen upon two women going at each other, it's okay. 1. I dont label myself gay. I feel it is a travesty that modern culture has such a affinity for labeling people. It's just another way to divide people. But, I do understand why people do label themselves gay. Honestly, labeling yourself gay is a bigger decision then deciding to engage homosexually. Its just sex. Like, we have gone astray somewhere. People don't know how to be themselves. And to be yourself is to do whatever it is you feel is the right thing to do at that time.

There was a time in history where there was'nt as great a distinction between gay and straight. People just did. They just were. I read something once that claimed the 'homosexual' definition arose out of scientific psyhcology needing to breakdown people into categories the way that elements can be broken down into smaller and smaller categories. The microscope was invented and we saw that cork was made of smaller things, so naturally everything include people could be broken down into smaller things. Then of coarse homosexuality was a term used to diagnos a psychological disorder. And it was all down hill from there.

I am three labels. Man. White. Canadian. Gender, Race, and Nationality.

It's stupid too when you get people that are heterosexual but like have homosexual sex once and think they are bi. I've unclogged a sink before but that doesnt make me a plumber.

I work with alot of guys that have had lots of sex with guys, more then me probally. And they are all married now, and none of them think of themselves as gay or bi or anything. They are just themselves. They enjoyed having sex, it feels good, there wasn't alot of women around so they went with each other. It was a source of entertainment nothing more.

as far as the 'straight acting' thing goes. yeah, it does bother me but i dont get worked up over it cause there is no easier way of describing a gay guy that isnt feminine.

What really really bothers me is the guys that like get divorced from there wives cause they have finally come to terms with the fact they are turned on by dudes. then suddenly like flipping a fucking switch they are mega queens and use faggot lingo and go antiquing. It's like they watch will and grace like a how-to-guide. That is pathetic because, you know what, your still not being yourself. Thats what brings me to the parade thing. What I dont like is i feel it strengthens the stereotypes. I'm kinda with you on the legal benefits for marriage.. I could really used the tax break and since my husbear and i are considering buying a few properties it would be awesome if we had the marriage contract to help sort out some of the legalities involved. but alas... :sad:

1. it's not that I chose to be labeled gay. I say this often to my friends but it's incredibly annoying that we as humans have to categorize everything. 1. To be honest, it just makes things easier for me to explain to people.
2. I think really it's just all about ease of communication. Outside of the BBW stuff (which is a straight thing as well), lesbians don't seem to have that whole categorization based on body types/fetishes thing that gays definitely do (bear, otter, chub, twink, etc), but I dunno. I don't mind the rampant categorization as much as some here, it really doesn't bug me all that much.
3. I don't like the negative connotation that comes from it, the affirmation that gay is feminine and vice versa, but I've gotten so used to it that I've even found myself using it now and then.

3. I'm against "gay acting" as well. I mean, I came out so I could be myself. Sometimes I have gay moments and sometimes I have more masculine moments but overall, I'm myself. Why can't everyone be their own selves?
4. I have always been against gay pride parades. It sickens me when the gays think they can go out and look and act like fucking queens. Way to strengthen the fucking stereotypes you fucking morons. Uh, for the first question, I guess I label myself (well I don't really, I think I've said the phrase "I'm gay" maybe 3 times in my life") gay because when you are homosexual you are attracted to the same sex, and... I am attracted to the same sex.

The second question I just don't understand. What exactly is the question? There's more labels with males experimenting because males are either way more insecure about their sexuality on the whole, or way more picky? I'm not sure I understand the question though. What kinda labels do you mean in this question?

The third one, uh... because in today's society acting feminine = acting gay, so obviously the opposite is acting straight. Nah, I don't know, I don't use the term. Half the reason (hell, more than half) I hardly tell people that I'm gay is because I get really irritated when they get all surprised and say, "but you don't act gay!"

In fact, that happened today at work... Coworker asked me, "So, do you have a girlfriend?" and I was like, "Not exactly. Well on a lighter note to our scene gettin' stomped on by the idiot(s): That night at Preppy's I was talking to Cole about the Dojo and he said that he aims to have that up and running in October, fully equipped to record each tournament that goes on there and apparently he doesn't too far away from Preppy's. SO, even though the NW scene got AHVB'd 4 times, I think we can make a Wong-like comeback with Cyclops' Super Optic Blast. /nerd

I believe a few of talked about this double standard before, especially with regards to expected sex drive and such.

(Of course, that's still sort of leading considering that you may personally not see one group escaping stigma or you may not see one group getting stigmatized.)

Pride celebrations are open to anyone who wants to celebrate. I don't really see the segregation in that.

It's not so much the segregation that gets me, mostly because, being near SF, from what little I know of it, there isn't any segregation at the pride event.

It's not like people are holding up signs that say "No breeders allowed!" or stupid crap like that from what I've seen on TV.

It's just that, basically, I wasn't understanding (and still fully don't, admittedly, but that's more my own nihilism than anything else at this point) why people were celebrating pride with regards to something they say was just inherent and not something they've accomplished. It just seems rather contrarian to what a lot of people trying to do garner tolerance (and the campiness [and debauchery in some instances] that gets selectively put in the media doesn't help either).

I think it is because being gay as a female is more socially accepted. Girls in general accept the idea of homosexuality better than men do and most men don't mind two girls being together. I also believe it goes with the sex drive like you previously stated. A lot of men "experiment" these days. But its not really experimenting as it is they are just too lazy to whack themselves off and they just need a warm mouth. Most men that do that though don't have anal however. I think that's what distinguishes true gay men from the whoreish men that just wanna get off.

I know I'm at the near extreme end of the spectrum against PDAs, especially since I'm not religious or anything; I am merely a prudish, easily annoyed bastard.

Besides what haru5713 said about being old school, it's just really annoying as a pedstrian to have walk behind some slow-ass couple holding hands who are so distracted by each other that they can't be polite to get the hell out of the way or pay attention to what's going around them (not that most people do, it seems).

It makes me want to Red Rover them (into the street) sometimes, it really does. I found that most of it is a bit of a miss for me since some works have a yaoi/twink/cartoony feel (funny besides the fact that it's drawings anyways). However, once you get that hint of "average joe" look on a muscle chub then I'm hooked.

That should work, but right now I can't do that 100%. When I realized I have a problem with him, that was the first thing I tried, in fact, I started to hang out with other guys I met just to make new friends and start from scratch.

But he's a quite close friend and we have lots of mutual friends and even though I try to avoid him for the most time, it's inevitable that sometimes we make things together... Probably better to see him from time to time than seeing him all the time, but I'm really not sure, I'm certainly not feeling better.

Anyway, in a couple of months he's leaving to the US to study for two years. But until then, I'm screwed.

Honestly Justin you should probably have a little 'break'. Just have a day or couple days where you don't text, don't talk, and live your own lives. He needs to understand that there are times in a relationship where you have to do your own thing. I've been in his shoes in a way in that I got used to hanging out all the time and when I wasn't it felt weird to me. But I learned to adjust and learned that honestly our relationship was more healthy and I had more fun if I spent some of my time to myself. Made me appreciate and value our time together more, rather than it being an expectation, y'know? There was really no way for me to break the awkward dependency chain other than him just flat out being like "I need me time." and then when I had time to myself to think I realized I had been smothering him - hopefully the same will happen for him. Or not even that he's smothering you, but just that he might be being unreasonable.

I assume that simply just talking to him about it won't really get through to him, but let him know you care about him but it's just not a fair expectation for you guys to be communicating all day every day.

And really, if he can't handle that, then this is a good warning flag that is better found out about now rather than a long ways down the road when you two move in and then you find out the hard way he's never going to give you space... Better to be something addressed now. There's really not much to do other than to make it clear that sometimes you're going to need a little space for yourself. If he freaks out that much over it, you guys might not be as compatible as you hoped.

I need some relationship advice please, if anyone takes the time to read this or respond I would really appreciate it.

I've been dating this guy for about a year or so now. We have a long distance relationship thing. We're pretty serious and feel very committed. We've been together through a lot of shit.

However, there's some things that bother me that I don't really know how to deal with. The first being that I get depressed because I never get out of the house or do anything, and he doesn't want me to because he thinks it would infringe on time spent with him.

Second being that if I am gone for a period of time, he gets emo or gets mad and we have fights.

I wish I could convey what I'm trying to say better, but basically he is CRAZY codependent. like if I try to do anything that doesn't involve him he gets mad. I care about him very much and I want him in my life, but I want to do my own things too and live my life too.

I don't want to break up with him if I don't have to but I'm getting strained with repeated fights that go on for like 4 hours plus.

And then to top it off started fooling around with the guy whos house we were staying at, and ended up leaving us stuck outside for almost an hour while he was inside getting his brains fucked out by some guy he just met 48 hours ago?

REALLY nigga? Like. SERIOUSLY? Is that what they do now? Ignore your calls and texts, doorbell rings while your friends are stranded outside in the front yard?


That lame ass nigga could have came and opened the door and finished getting his shit blown out. But to make matters fucking WORSE, they lie and say they were sleep when he finally comes to the door? mechanica, how do you get your hair that color (i mean the different layers of coloring)?

With short hair it really only works well if you're layering lighter colors under darker colors. (I bleach it first and then when it's dried/drying) I train it to stand up and just kinda spike it up just with my fingers or a comb. Apply the lightest color toward the roots and rub it in, and just... stack the dyes. :cybot:

The extra light color on the bottom was actually an accident. Supposed to be a dark greenish blue and it just came out really pale. I had greenish blue, a medium blue, and a dark blue. You can also dilute one color dye with different amounts of conditioner and condition your hair (very necessary after bleaching especially) while getting different shades. Washes out quicker though.

Yeah, I know. I think MvC2 sucks on console period (even on the DC :wow: ). But the ability to play online even at a lower level is better than nothing.

I switched ISP providers during my stint on XBL BB, so i haven't been on much because comcast apparently can't handle more than 7 connected devices on wifi at once and it drops me sometimes (or i have this fear of gettin the dreaded 99999999999 dropped games glitch and permanently changing my name to red). MY XBL is hardlined, too.

I get on really late at night because of that or at on times during the day. The characters are like Night and Day with lag (especially arakune/Tao) so I understand. My XBL: Foureyed Cub
