Have you ever remained friends with some one who you shouldn't have?

... remained friends with someone who really doesn't deserve to be your friend? I'm talking about someone who said/did something/many things just shit-poor to you but you just tossed it aside since you were friends.

I was just thinking about one of my close friends who has done things that would warrant me poisoning him. I think that if I forced a cyanide pill down his throat and explained the situation, the judge would let me off. But, I'm still friends with him, I'll probably be friends with him next week. In fact, I'll probably still be friends with this guy until I am forced to remove all ties to him, or stab him through the neck.

Anyone else in this kind of situation?

ya no honestly at this point in my life...i've weeded out all the bad influences and people who were straight assholes to me. in high school i might have said yes, cuz i was starving for attention and friends and someone to notice me. but now i've weeded them out to just friends that probably will be around for the rest of my life anyone else is just an acquaintance and not that important to me nor have a lasting effect on my life.

I used to, but as I got older I weeded out all the dipshits who who were so called friends. Now I just have 2 people I truly consider friends, anyone else I just set my expectations extremely low. As far as getting rid of people, I have no problem at all....funny thing is that usually the more you want someone to stay away from you the more persistent they are about "patching" the friendship up. :bluu:

A problem arises when someone has been your friend for a long time, and then they fuck up and do something stupid. When it's something really stupid, you tend to start noticing how stupid and fucked up they are. I had a friend who fucked me over big time, but I still see him every day, theres no way I'm as close friends as I was before and in fact I fuckin' treat this kid like shit now.

But unfortuantly we have mutual friends so he HAS to be there. Luckily he's a fucking idiot and doesn't know when I'm straight up insulting him to his face infront of his friends.

One of my friends who was a really geniuine guy for some reason in college tried to make himself into a "different person and started to try to cuss even though every time he did it felt very awkward. We all don't like him, and we'ere pretty much fed up with him.

I did for a while, but someone who acts that way is only going to push the envelope more and more until you finally explode and wash your hands of them. Take my advice, either try to straighten shit out or just start distancing yourself from them and eventually break it off. Just saves some time compared to waiting to see if they change, they rarely ever do.
