Mario Party 7 vs. MP5

I know this is kind of embarrasing to put up on Shoryuken forums, but I already have MP4 and MP6, and am getting sick of them. Can anyone tell me if MP5 or MP7 is better and why? Thanks. :cool:

i have/had 4-7 but i cant really remember the differences. i personally like 4 best because it has the volleyball right?

i remember 7 isnt all that great. it does have the mic thing though. its kinda cool. but the bonus stars are wack. you get a bonus star for how many blue spaces? its all luck.

I like MP7... Boards have differing rules, which helps add some spice to the game. And Dry Bones is a playable character. It needs more mini-games though; the selection seems a tad slim compared to the other games. But yeah, the different game boards with different rules and objectives is nice. I particularly like the one where you have to pay Chain Chomps to smash each other.

I've played every one of these fucking games at length because of my asshole friends, and yet I have very little recollection of what actually differs between them anymore. I don't know if it's because I have a shitty memory, or if they just didn't change that much.

I remember when the mic games came into play, I think that was 6-7. And I remember some of the maps for 7, since that was when they started changing it up for the course goals ie. winterland chain-chomp course and the windmill course. I don't really remember anything about 5 though. I saw MP as making a good ascent through 2 and 3 and then beginning a quick plummet.

I always played as Waluigi. :tup:

I have only played 3-5

so far 3 was my favorite. I did not like 4. I got bored way fast. But I really liked 5.


now I gotta catch up.... so Im interested to see what other people say about 6 and 7. Im not sure which one I should by next. I heard the one with the mic was not all that fun??

and my husband ruins any mini game where you have to rapidly tap a button. He has some sort of freakish ability to hit the button faster than a human should be able to. :mad:

I have MP4 and MP6 - MP4's minigames were good, but the game needed more of them. Also, the boards were very boring because they all had that same "neon lights"-looking effect. I was satisfied with MP6 for a while until I unlocked basically all of the minigames, and kept playing them over and over, which led to a lot of boredom, which is why I want a new Mario Party.

Obviously the Wii version will be the best, what with the variety of mini games the remote brings to the table.

Oh and WTF @ 8 Mario Party games already. Jesus H Christ.

I don't get violent, I just make every one angry at me when I play mario party. I only finish a game if I'm absolutly destroying, because thats the only way to know if your gonna win before the bonus stars are handed out.

But if I'm not doing so well... Let's just say I tend to "trip" and "fall" onto the off switch...
