Fresh Meat!

Yeah, long time reader, first time poster. I've been playing CvS2 since it came out on PS2 in Japan. Up until recently when my area finally got goddamn DSL, I've been forced to play my friends (who suck) and whenever I can find CvS/CvS2 at the arcade (which is quite hard nowadays). I've also been attempting to beat the ALL survivor mode for what seems like 5 years to no success (I've gotten to S. Akuma so many times, only to get crushed).

A few weeks ago I got my first XBL account (pitty CvS2 and SF3 arn't XB360 compatable), and I've done some trial fights with a few guys (lag wasn't as bad as I've read). I thought I did pretty good against guys who had multi-100s in their win column, but I obviously have a lot to learn. I've been watching EVO vids on YouTube and the like to get a taste of decent player tactics and it has been serving me well for as to what to anticipate (you guys act a LOT different than the AI, lol).

I haven't been playing too much because I am waiting on a XBL headset I got off ebay (the bastard must've sent it media mail, because its been over a week), but when I get it, I'll take all the anti-scrub talk you guys can dish out.

My favorite team is usually Ken, Haomaru, and Sagat. I might throw Akuma and Ryu in there sometimes too. I'm trying to get better with Hibiki, but I usually get wasted when I try to play with her (she seems like a top tier player when I watch the evo championship vids). Favorite groove is C-groove, if for nothing else besides air block and roll ;)

Hopefully I can provide you guys with a modicum of challange here pretty quick :wgrin:

Arrghh. User 'OKHDAB" (don't know if he frequents this forum) just wrecked me hard. I did pretty well my first match, but the next two were beyond embarrassing. I get hit so fast (His Kyo is insane!) I can barely launch into regular moves (like shoryukens and whatnot). Kinda depressing, I had no idea I sucked that much :x

its not so bad u just gota ern respect from other players.. i would recomend playing ppl over rank 1000 their not so much as dicks and most of them give u tips too .. about OKHDAB didnt he have a bad connection status?

and yes sonic connection will always be bad, not because of me, but because of the distence, im from the netherlands. I really hate playing you btw sonic, probally because I would ocv you every single game, cause you must be one of the most random players on xbox live nowdays.

its not so bad u just gota ern respect from other players.. i would recomend playing ppl over rank 1000 their not so much as dicks and most of them give u tips too .. about OKHDAB didnt he have a bad connection status?

About half the players I find (when I actually find people online) are 1000+. The 3 matches or so OKHDAB and I played seemed to be relatively lag free if I remember correctly.
