So I never thought id say this, but I ALMOST want to play DoA after watching this amazing piece of art. Anyone else share my feelings on this? I saw the preview in General awhile back and it looked mad chessy, but its like, MK1- movie good. Biggest tragedy ever this didnt come to theaters.

It went straight to VCR...hahaha! The only reason I'd watch it is to see the awkward 'touchy' relationship between what's her face and Diesel. That is, if they were still casted in the roles.

This movie is nowhere near the shitty level of House of the Dead. Bad Dialogue aside the fight scenes was decent enough but i couldn't help but laugh at Eric Roberts as the bad guy beatin down on Hayate.

Sarah Carter is freaking hot.

The best part of the movie was when Ryu gets reunited with Ayane (that's her name, right?). They have this small kiss, then she starts to say her lines and he tries to kiss her again. You know that guy who played Ryu was thinking "This is the only time I'm ever going to kiss a girl this hot". That scene was so funny I had to rewind it.

It's bad but it's not the kind of bad I expected. It's actually sorta faithful to the series and honestly, if the game was a movie this would be it. There is no way for DoA to be realistic at all.

Jamie as Tina is great actually.

And who is Helena? She is so cute-fine it breaks screens.

ok my first post was based on previews and stuff i seen in pics or heard......its 2am and im finally done watchin it....id say its a pretty decent movie...the last 30 minutes or so got really cheesy......good fighting scenes though..i wish zack could do that one kick he did to tina in the game!!

The pussification of Hayabusa was one of the worst things about it, but I feel the movie's better than SF the Movie, because it's more faithful to the games (LOL) and it's got better fighting. But SF has way more fun quotes.

Standard J.F. Lawton (Pamela Anderson's V.I.P.) fare, although surprisingly faithful to the source material. The action scenes with Kane Kosugi were decent as well although it could've been longer.

Yeah I actually ended up watching the entire movie lol. It was from the way the first few lines of the movie were delivered where it was like "Uh oh, this movie sucks..."

I guess it's a good thing it never came out in theaters! I actually did kind of get a kick out of that Douglas guy though. He kind of reminded me of the bad guy McDonald in the Jackie Chan City Hunter movie. The sunglasses thing was so lame it ended up being kinda funny haha.

I saw this movie some time last year at a friends, was fucking terrible. Honestly, I felt like I was watching a Charlie's Angels film. And whoever the fuck casted Devon Aoki as Kasumi needs to get murdered in cold blood, what the fuck where they thinking?

I liked it actually. I wouldn't pay any money to see it, but it wasn't as lame as I thought it would be. It's one of those "this is so stupid, it's good" movies.

The chicks they got to play Christie and Helena are so cute. The bikini fight scene is an epic masterpiece and pure genius. The end fight scene is done very well as well, although it's a little anti-climatic that some dude just hits the other over the head with a pipe.

The only minor detailed that bugged me a little is during the hotel scene, Christie is stepping out of the shower, but she has full makeup on her face. WTF? There are no girls that naturally have that blue tint above their eyes.

Jamie Pressly is so annoying to watch on screen. Listening to her talk hurts my ears. I wish they recast her and put two real Asian girls as the ninja sisters instead of truck face and White chick.

If I had hundred million dollar sunglasses, I would put a string around them as well so they don't fall off my head.

I was kinda watching a dvd of this once. me and my friends were drinking beer and playing mahjong. there was a scene with someone breaking into a safe stealing stuff and someone asked "so what's going on now?" and I replied "he's taking all their bison dollars." it was instantly the best movie ever.

-they showed as many game characters as they could to keep the story legit
-the eye candy (Jamie Presley FTW), southern bias
-i dont like it but: bayman and leon relegated to opening fights

dislikes
-movie pace is too fast, even for an action flick, very little plot development
-continue: movie would be better off shown as a miniseries
-character design follows game too much (i could live with a zack in green cornrolls better then the shark fin)- it would make more sense if they just put kasumi in a yakuza than a clan in the mountains. especially if she is the princess.
-devon aki should stick to support character acting
-general b-atmosphere of the film

conclusion:

ok for DVD
poor for Theaters
great for USA- bad movies welcomed
its only a little above street fighter

I don't know about all that. Like someone said before this movie works better in DVD format especially with its length.
To me i felt the movie captured the game pretty well in a sense that it never took itself seriously hell they even threw in some volleyball action.
Granted it was weird seeing Eric Roberts whuppin on Collin Chou. But whatever.:pleased:

also he's the son of sho kosugi, who kicked tons of ass in sweet ninja movies in the 80s. kane did the voice/motion capture for onikage in the first tenchu and his dad did the same for rikimaru.
