Anyone ever win anything from a radio station?

I just won some Jon Stewart tickets that I planned on selling as soon as I got. I wont them last Monday and the tickets went on sale this past Friday. The damn station still doesn't have my shit yet. They say they will be there Thursday or Friday. Does it usually take this long to get some fucking tickets?

I never tried to win anything from a radio station. I just was never really one for concerts and shit.

Yes, I've won tickets to a SF Giants game on the radio.

It was more than just being the x caller. It was a game of putting a bunch of sounds together to form a person, place or thing, and the first caller to get it right wins.

So the first sound they played was a girl acting shy. The next sound was the sound of a car going by. The next sound was a girl saying "I don't feel good". The next sound was a guy saying something really annoying.

It was the last two sounds that lit up the light bulb, where the "I don't feel good" and the annoying part, I figured as "Ill" and "Annoy" so I knew that was Illinois, and the first two sounds, was a girl being "shy" and a car sound... "shy" "car go"... Chicago! So I called in immediately, they picked up the phone, I said my answer, and the radio guys said "We have a winner!" and I got to say my answer on the air as "Chicago, Illinois!" "THAT IS CORRECT!!!!!" and the Price is Right sounds went off. Greatest moment of my life!


There was also a time I ALMOST won, but I didn't. It was called the "Cingular Giants Replay" game where if you listen to the Giants broadcast on the radio, a certain moment of the game will be the "Cingular Giants Replay" and on the following morning show if you're the x caller and get it right, you win a Giants $50 gift certificate to any Giants Dugout store. A bonus was if people don't win, it "rolls over" (Cingular promo), so the next day would be $100, and the next day $150 if someone doesn't get it right. Well on that day, it was worth $150, and I knew the answer... I called the show and the guy picked up and said "Ready for the replay?" and I got excited, then a few seconds later the guy said that there was already another caller, ARG!!!! I knew the answer too... I was a Kevin Correia double off of pitcher Hideo Nomo!


Oh yeah... well the tickets I won for the game, they were at Will Call rather than being sent to me. So on the day of the game, I just went to the Will Call booth and claimed the tickets there.

I won tickets to conerts twice it was random they called you after you texted the radio station.

I won tickets to this Denver Sports Banquet in December of 06. Got to meet all sorts of peeps from the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, etc.

To win these tickets, I had to argue with other callers on the topic of Kenyon Martain and whether or not the Nuggets needed him this year (this happened right after his season ending knee injury/surgery). I first had to qualify for the finals by giving explaining why the Nuggets don't need him. Out of 12+ callers, I got selected. I then had to face off against a person who said that the Nuggets needed him. After beasting on him, the final vote was left to the fans. They called in and I won 7-2.

all i had to do was ask for some and i would get some phillies pent house box seats and shit.
