In most cases, they do. I have 2 wireless controllers (a Joytech XS (http://www.joytech.co.uk/8/products/ps2/1/13/XS-Wireless-Controller.htm) and a Dragon Duo Shock 3 (http://www.divineo.cn/cgi-bin/div-cn/ps3-2.4con)) and they work fine with Dual Shock -> USB adapters. However, I couldn't get the Mad Catz Wireless MicroCon (http://www.madcatz.com/Default.asp?Page=143&CategoryImg=PS2_Controllers) to work since it uses the 8 Volt line (N/C) (http://www.madcatz.com/faq/?Action=Q&ID=69) instead of VCC (http://pinouts.ru/Game/playstation_9_pinout.shtml). I even made an attempt to change the wired connections on the receiver so that it would use VCC instead of N/C but it still wouldn't work on my PC.
