Disc Golfers?

Hey, just recently I started playing disc golf. The courses out here are fairly decent in Austin, TX albeit fairly unforgiving. It sucks to have to shoot out of the brush.

Anyways, for anyone who doesn't know about it. Disc golf is pretty much the same thing as golf except you use special discs made for the game. The discs are made so that they can curve more/less or how heavy they are. There are several ways to throw and is honestly a much harder sport than regular golf.

Check out some youtube vids of some disc golfers to get the idea.

From you saying 'fun to fuck around with when drunk' shows that you've never played disc golf. The truth of the matter is that disc golf IS harder than regular golf, and I've played regular golf quite a few times. There are more discs than there are clubs and there's a SHITLOAD of ways to throw them. And each throw is good to know for various shots. Check out some youtube vids of professional disc golfers and then play it, and come back and criticize.

ive played it. i personally dont think its anywhere near as hard as golf. anyone can play golf, but to be good at it is hard.

but then again looking at youtube videos of disc golfers, they might be doing something special that i dont know about....

yea, i don't think i could take it seriously but it definately seems fun, I'll prolly pick up a few discs and have a go at it

Heh...me and my family used to play Frisbee Golf every weekend at the park. Free and fun, a good way to spend a Saturday.

Made me the best discus thrower in my Middle School...of course, as I grew up I started spending more time playing video games...

prefer playing frisby catch with a disc putter.
shit is fun. very serious sport if you want it too be.
EVERY good player i know throws with both hands multiple angles and shots...
comparing it with golf is apples and oranges....
