some combos just send your testosterone levels skyrocketing the moment you get them in. they aren't necessarily the most technically difficult to perform, but landing them feels oddly gratifying..

mine are probably:

- f+Roundhouse > Corkscrew Blow (Dudley, 3S)
- Hadorave (V-Ryu, Alpha 3)
- Four Fierce (Guile, HF)

Also gotta love the cHP, Ryoku Ranbu, cancel, 646+HP, cancel, qcf LJ combo for Ryo in Neowave.

Proxy Cancel into kick super with Guy in A3. When you nail that, it just feels so satisfying. ESPECIALLY when you're losing in a match and you win with it. It's beautiful.

i guess the word "combo" isn't fair to grapplers and non-combo based characters so feel free to include those too.

not really a combo but landing a Raging Demon with a crafty setup is sweet in any game.
- anti-air demon
- whiff hurricane into demon
- roll behind into demon (A2, A3)
- kara demon (3S)

same goes for 720s. anti-air FAB hurts mentally more than anything.

anything into dp xx kara-dp. The way the two srk's freeze for a split second on hit just resonates power and gives me wood.

also my first air combo - spidey, msh :
jump in> lp, lk, mp, mk.
Land > st.lp, st.mp
jump> lp, lk, mp, mk, delayed hp to smash them down, then hk them as they hit the floor.
land>OTG hk and air combo to finish. 18 hits was amazing to me back then.

with andy...its like standing fp, cancel the first hit with the activation, RUN forward FP, unblokable(5hitter), cancel into the elbow(1hit), cancel into the spinning kick(4 hits), cancel into the dive kick ending in the sweep, Red super. :tup:

Makoto - Not really a combo but getting 3 mixups in a row feels great, or getting them stunned in general via a combo.

Sentinel - Fast fly in general.

Storm - Getting the hit that leads into the sent only infinite feels great, I like knowing that guy is gonna die :P

Magneto - The second 5 fierce after you landed your mixup.

Capcom - Guard breaking them... It feels so good.

Dhalsim - Anti-air and reacting to tech with the grab super in A3 :P

Peach - Down smash when somebody holds down, I like free damage.

Hey , Im the new noob scrub whatever around here. Anyways , by several "demands" i got my Brady Games book today , and it said exactly what Im quoting here. But it said " in corner only "

Now , BEFORE I went to the post office to pick it up earlier today , iwas actually training my corner MP, HP xx Fireball xx SA3 or similar. For whatever the reason I cant pull that off for the life of me. But I can do MP HP , SR , SR about 2\3 in training.

Yes I do it in the corner , but does that mean it DOESNT need to be a kara srk? Since im pretty sure I have no clue whatsoever on how to do those ( gonna guess F+MK :confused: )

Can someone clarify this? Or is the Kara only needed when mid screen?

Ryu in Alpha 2/3 - Jump Roundhouse/Fierce, crouching strong, link to crouching forward (tricky timing), two in one to level 3 super fireball. I'm not consistent with the strong > forward (many don't even know it combos) so it feels awesome when it all lands.

The c.MK is canceled within the first few frames into the DP, so the c.MK doesn't actually "come out", it only begins it's animation and is then quickly canceled during it's start-up by the DP. If you're familiar with kara-throws or roll-cancels then it's similar input timing to those. Or if you're familiar with SC3 "sliding" inputs then they are also similar input timing.

Thnx. Yeah come to think about it , I think I read that , but didnt remember until you said it. So its like a pianoroll from MK into the ( somehwat stored) LP( DP) . Well to be honest , the only kara throws ive tried are with Ken , and afaik , they do practically nothing.
How has a good one again? Chun? Ryu? Akuma? Ill test them right away , if you say the timing is virtually the same.

But this combo is for midscreen right? Coz I can do the combo in corner , and im quite certain I aint accidentally hitting MK every time :confused:

That spacific combo only works on certain characters mid screen (necro, elena, q although the kara isnt needed), and it is only nessicary versus certain characters in the corner (ibuki, hugo, remy, oro).

CvS2 - Boxer - c.lp, clp. gigaton blow. Ouch.

MB:AC - Hisui - IAD j.C, 2.B, 5.C, 623+C, 2.B, 5.C, 2.B, 5.C, 2.B, 2.C, 5.C, 6.C, j.B, j.C, j.B. j.C, air throw.

MvC2 - Juggs / Tron (corner) - Punch throw, j.LK, TRON, j.FK, HEADCRUSH. GGPO.

Arcana Hearts - Fiona - Powered up clean hit super~

Plenty more, but that's what I got off the top of my head.

yoshi's 2ba is the only thing remotely close enough to a kara. slide inout for karas in 2d are way faster than the standard 3d slide inputs.

Chun's s.MK, elena's f+MK, Q's b+MP, ryu's f+MP, gouki's f+MP.

gouki's is best for figuring out if you did it. well not really, all the character mentioned will noticeably teleport forward when you kara throw, but gouki's you actually hear him shout when he does it (he doesn't shout on normal grab).

Another thing about kara's is that there's in fact 3 frames of cancel room. cancelling on the last frame is ideal, since it gives you the most distance.

lastly, Ken's srk, kara srk is a mid screen combo, you can do it in the corner against most characters without kara though. You can also anti air srk, srk without kara mid screen most of the time as well. I also thought you kara-srked with low roundhouse.

Well for SF anything with the Shinshoryuken cause they are f-ed over when it hits, but as far as combo appeal pulling of crazy ass Killer Instinct combos, those things last minutes, hell you have time to make yourself kool-aid and a sandwich and the damn thing will still be going when you come back.

nah.. it's MK. and i think Xenozip placed MK closer to LP to stress that they're almost simultaneously pressed.. it doesn't really matter whether MK comes before the df or after so long as it does.

midscreen launch, sj short, jab, fly, jab, fierce, unfly, short, fly, short + mag, fierce, rp feels pretty good too.


ryu's corner custom in A3 feels good too if you do the version with hella fierces and b+fierces in it.

Corner and/or dizzying combos with Necro using Electric Snake. I fucking love it when I know they are gonna be dizzied mid combo and I'm already thinking of the a corner juggle combo or the taunt that comes before it.


Unblockable Aegis Combos with Urien are still satisfying to me after all these years. Especially when doing them on scrubs who have never seen them before.

some combos just send your testosterone levels skyrocketing the moment you get them in. they aren't necessarily the most technically difficult to perform, but landing them feels oddly gratifying..

mine are probably:

- f+Roundhouse > Corkscrew Blow (Dudley, 3S)
- Hadorave (V-Ryu, Alpha 3)
- Four Fierce (Guile, HF)

doing sidewinder loop is so satisfying. the sound it makes when the sidewinder clean hits is great.

gunflame frc->bandit bringer->gunflame frc->bandit bringer.... air combo when I run out of meter. Another thing that looks way to cool to avoid.

Any of cammy's air combo resets are really fun to do. every time I get one off in a match I want to scream.

Cammy: it isn't a combo necessarily, but after the usual launcher/magic series xx KBA, it feels me with glee when they get predictable with their rolling and I dash once but cancel it quickly into a backdash to like cross them up but then cross them back up again to land a c.lk into the same combo.

and um, in 3s, I get a boner when I do the midscreen unblockable headbutt partition right (yet I still never seem to have enough time for the f+mk to push them far enough after my dashes >_<), and when I link far s.mp into shippu.
