Well, as some of you may remember, I was going to make a JD.com VCD, which changed to a DVD, which has been on hiatus for a LONG time due to things out of my control. But since I have alot more free time now, I have decided to resurrect this idea, and see how it goes.

So what I need from you guys is ideas for videos. There were a TON of videos on JD.com and on this board that were unforgettable for whatever reason. Either it was because it was a top player (Valle, Clockwork, Smooth, etc), or it was funny, or it was a classic matchup, or a much hyped match on the boards.

So I have a connection (thanks Psychochronic!) who has archived many, MANY of the matches from both JD.com and here, as well as ones he has taken himself. So if you have a video you remember fondly, post it here, and there's a possibility he has it.

So post away guys. Let's let JD and the CvS2 board live on forever!

Me and Raven have made a decision concerning this and we are always open for suggestions:

Disc 1 = Top players of CvS2 "The Elite":
This disc will have known players in CvS2 who've held it down in majors (focusing on CvS2). Players such as CaliPower, Buktooth, SonicBoomSRK, Conflicts, Biggzy, Just1Moe, Dream Theater and SmoothCat will be in this section.

Disc 2 + 3 + 4 = Regular matches "Fan Favourites":
This disc will have, not only Live Regulars and lazy couch potatoes, but also players who attend offline competition in a seldom or often basis, irregardless of their skill level or skills of other games. Players such as Legendary Gokou, DaliPicard, Zojitzu, Phil McFly, Snaaake, Mr SNK, Scoot Magee, Rick Stalvey, Psychochronic and Citiofbrass will be in this section along with lost players such as PCTHEGREAT, Combo Breaker, Supreme Savior and Yooney.


NOTES:
-Disc 1 is in the process of being chosen and is almost finished.
-Each disc can hold as much as 25 matches maximum but if there's space, more can be added (35 would be the limit).
-Discs 2-4 will be chosen by everyone else (some matches have been chosen already).
-We need more ideas (or help) because 2 people can't do the whole load of it all.


EDIT: Conflicts, me and Raven agree with your suggestion and now, disc 4 is now a regular disc instead of a scrub disc.

The Art of Lag Abuse and the Art of Dropping are definately going in there. At the least, they will be on the first disc, at the most, they will be special features on one of the first two discs.

I have spoken with a few people and they have requested to have their match removed from here. Also, due to video quality of some matches such as shitty captures, high pixelated or background static, a number of them had to be replaced with others. Due to that, the finalized list for the first 2 discs has been updated.

Alright guys, here's the skinny on what's going down.

After messing around with the DVD for a bit, I came to find out that I could only fit about 15 matches on a single DVD. So we went through and split the matches up between 4 discs. You can see what vids are on what disc by checking the first post of this thread.

I have completed the first disc and am currently waiting for it to encode and burn, so I can see how well it looks/plays on my DVD player. I will post again once I have had a chance to watch it and let you know.

If you look at the first post of this thread, you will see that Disc 4 is short a few matches. If there are any you can think of that aren't on any of the other discs, let us know and I will see if I can hunt it down and get it on there.

Also, I am sprinkling the discs with Special Features, such as Mr.SNK's Art of Dropping/Lag Abusing movies, etc. I will let you know which discs those are on as well as soon as that is finalized.

Let me know what you think and expect an update on the quality sometime tonight, early tomorrow.

Do you have those JD logs? I know you sent them to me at one point, but my HDD crashed on me, so I lost them. If you still have them, I will see about getting them on there.

Couple Notes:
-I found the LG OCV vid and it will be on one of the Elite discs as it's a SmoothCat match.
-I found another OCV vid (TheRealX9) and it will be on of the Regular discs as it's a Snaaake match.
-Disc 4 had to be picky as there are gonna be special features (Mr SNK's drop/lag videos), matches of the Regulars had to be chosen and I didn't want 5 Zoj and 5 Snaaake in it. I've decided only 10 matches instead of 15 go there and those will be reserved for the JD boys (LG, MaxD, Zoj).
-I only have one Rolentless (Legendary Sin) match and he goes in for sure.

The first disc is complete and I have all the vids that are going on the other 3. I am going to start work on the second disc tomorrow and should have the rest done by sunday (fingers crossed).

You can find a updated list of all the videos in the first post on this thread. There is also going to be special features on each disc that aren't listed there, but once they are complete I will post those as well.

Since I am getting closer to completion, I thought I would set up a little site to make it easier to order the DVD as well as give any feedback on it. You can find the website here...

:sad: Our logo was JustDefend.com with the online fighters unite beneath it. And I remember Max used the impact font, so I did them all in Impact. Initial colors for website was black, red, and white.

Yeah, he was good, but on that list you have Valle, Buk, and Smooth, who've all placed at Evo. Gimme was dope too.

I'd put a bunch of players over Moe. I'd put you over Moe, easy. LG, SS, gl0ry, BIGGUS, Gadgy... I could go on.

Moe was definitely good, but, to me he was decidedly 3rd tier.

Nah I'd put him over all them. I played with him personally a bunch of times at PA and CF. He's good.

You guys are basing it off live play though so I dunno.
