Looks clunky like sfex but somehow even worse. Looks like they tried to hard to provide lifelike animations like it was some sort of 3d brawler game.

I don't understand why battle fantasia seems to be the few 2.5D games that manages to use 3D models yet play and move and flow like a solid 2d style game.
I can't see why that would be so hard.

I remember when I got home from school one day and learned that this game had been cancelled. I fucking flipped out. I took down my CFAS desktop background, took the forums I had hosted (dedicated to the game) down, and seriously, seriously considered trying to overdose on whatever I could find in the medicine cabinet. The image of my own reflection holding a bottle of laxatives in a trembling hand will haunt me for the rest of my days.

Just kidding. I didn't think anyone actually cared this one got canned. At least we still have EX3, right? And Fighting Jam? Right?

If I remember right, they cancelled this game TWICE, both times because it sucked and they knew it.

Let it stay dead. Petition for something more worthwhile from Capcom, which still probably won't happen.

wow that video reminded me of final fight: revenge, which is pretty amazing. i didnt think games that crappy could even be made these days.

You guys are all gay. This game would have been hella fun, or at the LEAST bit better than that trash we got in its place (Jam). But wait a sec, yall actually play that shit FOR REALZ in tourneys. lol

Anyway, it's not like if Capcom actually did take efforts to release this, it would interfere with other fighting games coming out the pipeline, as Capcom Japan has all but given up on tne genre (save for that anime bullshit game they just put out).

I think Capcom should have finished this but they probably looked at it and realized it wasn't on the level of fighting game they make.But then again they made CFE (the most dissaponting fighting game, i've ever played).

it would have been nice to revisit justice gakuen characters
strider would have been mad broken though......3D ouroborous? think about it, the ability to sidestep and throw ouroboros rings AND teleport? broooooke

No way, if this game was or moved as fluid as say Tekken or VF then yeah, I'd be more willing, however watching the beta versions was just...gah...seriously, Ryu's jump kick doesn't look right, maybe because it's 3-D, maybe because it looks so sluggish, I don't know, however look at Ryu's Hadouken, that shit doesn't look much better than the one from the EX games, not to mention how freaken slow it travels(maybe they where using lp, but still a game with sidesteps just how useful will projectiles be anyways at long distance?).

I'm glad it got raped, leave it as it is, however the artwork from CFAS is pretty damn pimp though.

I think they should just release it on the XBLA/PSN as demos...I mean....they already have it demo'd out, and can port a crap to see if it does anything. It wouldn't hurt.

the art work in CFE was trash and u know it.Any how, you just made the solution to Capcom making it's way into 3-D when you said "if it moved as fluid ass VF & Tekken.Maybe if Capcom did the next SF with Namco in 3-D...it might be amazing.I doubt that would happen, but could u imagine SF characters on Tekken graphics!
