Capturing High-Resolution Pictures from DVD Quality Video

I looked around google and a few other places and didn't find anything. I know you can turn the graphics acceleration down to capture pictures from videos playing, but they end up looking like crap.

I actually asked my friend as well, and he said I can use Power DVD to capture stills at the same quality. Is that my best bet or is there a better solution?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Media player classic comes with a built in Screencap option. Try using that, they save at BMP files though.
