Speed difference in SFII 3S?

I've just started playing SF again. I'm playing Third Strike. In the videos I've seen of championships and various other recorded matches the speed looks a lot faster than mine...is there a speed variant control? Is it one of the system directions that perhaps I've not unlocked yet? Any response would be appreciated.

the pros just now how to flow in the game much more fluent to give the illusion that the game is faster

I also noticed that when they do certain moves to start into combos...the corner type combos where they don't let an oppent hit the ground...that they seem to hit their oppenent much higher in the air than I am able to...is there a distance or timing type thing to this? Please no "Well you must suck if you can't do that" responses. I'm just trying to learn. Any response would be appreciated.

Yeah, like I too noticed that dashing in the videos looks like the person is damn near gliding how fast it is...but I can't seen to do that in a match that often...lol.

Never the less...it definatly is the fact that the pro's can flow a bit more in the game as opposed to someone just learning. Welcome to 3rd Strike by the way
