Devil it looked like you kinda clamned up at the end of the second to the last round when you lost by blocking the hk hurricane. A good slide past those fireballs could have handled them.

Dj's spacing got serious!!! but shinshay turned up the rush/mixup at the start of match 3. momentum changed from there

Nice fights. Looks as though you're movement is off in parts Shinshay - as though you weren't able to dash as well as you'd have liked. Stop blocking Ibuki's :r: + :mk: though. Everyone knows it's impossible to react to :lol:

Deviljin missed a few low parries after jump-ins, but damn, his confirming off that standing mid kick is crazy. Why don't you parry fireballs man?

DJ - that was some good shit. I personally think you should INCREASED your rushdown when you decided to increase your zoning. Ibuki's rushdown makes shotos cry, and towards the end you gave Shinshay too much breathing space. You KNOW Shinshay should NEVER be allowed to think or breathe :rofl:

Can't Ryu do anything if he parries f+mk? You were doing it so much I was beginning to think maybe Shinshay is leaving the parry for a more crucial moment just to make sure you didnt stop doing it. Who knows...

Yeah...first 2 matches Shinshay wasn't using his own stick. Or well...that's probably how every match is seeing he doesn't have his own stick anymore. He eventually switched to PVFP's stick which is a good custom stick. I never really tried Rockman's stick to see how good or bad it was so I can't really comment on it. It still had all Sanwa parts so I can't imagine it was that bad.

I'll have to watch the vids when I get home. Oh and yeah...I forgot about that stupid hurricane kick that I tried to parry down. :lol:

Yeah that hori was terrible. I don't know if you guys noticed. I did hurricane kick at like round 2 in the first match and when I came out of it I did toward and strong when it was actually supposed to be an EX fireball. I swear the stick did that on it's own. I should've switched sticks there.

Ibukis toward and mk is godlike, I have good reaction to punish it when it's in the air but I haven't practiced since I was online so that's why I was pretty much zoning more. Also if you parry it you can punish but it depends on the distance.

That hurricane kick win was pure luck. I don't know what I was thinking. If he would've crouched on the last hurricane kick then I could've eaten a vicious combo for sure that would've probably ended the match. I'll put together the rest of the vids this evening.

I enjoy watching vids of players i know now more than before...i've seeen enough KSK Ranbat vids to last a lifetime. i like the homegrown talent now. blasphemous!!!

Ibuki is just something else for Ryu. Its like her slow attacks are faster than Ryu's jab. Combined with the fact that Ryu doesn't really have anything too scary off a crouch mk (like ken's sa3) and this match just sucks for Ryu.

Shinshay, do you find it easier to win with SA2 or SA1 when playing Ibuki? Which one in your opinion gives you more options against an Ibuki?

I like playing SA1 anyway because I like to burn EX (as you know). SA2 makes me feel that I wouldn't have more leeway for fireballs.

Ibuki only has advantage when she is in your face, similar to makoto. So if I can create that distance or good zone then she can't do anything to me.

Yeah...one of the buttons on my stick wore out initially so I went through a whole fiasco trying to get a new button and stuck to playing on Xbox Live until I got it fixed. When I finally got it fixed I realized that it had been a while since I had really played on a Sanwa and my execution was off. Like my very first match in the tourney was terrible. I was missing all kinds of basic stuff. I dont think my match with Shinshay was affected much by it since I was a bit more adjusted by then but again...that's just me not really practicing on my stick before the tourney.

Evo East is next week any ways so I'm pretty much not going to be playing online before then. It's just gonna mess me up considering my xbox converter is broke and I'll be forced to using a US stick that'll just mess up my execution come tourney time.

Oh and yes, u do need to come back to MD. C3 is better than ever now and I still need rides. You're always down to come and play some games at my place too.

i'm the camera man:wgrin: there is nothing wrong with my stick.except for the fact that it's very very looose..i'm waiting for a new one..being loose fucks me up in cvs2 really bad.it's alright in sf3. sometimes i get a random dash.
