doa4 on PC problems

Hey, I modded my DOA4 stick and tried to use it on my PC after installing the 360 controller driver because my windows xp doesn't recognize it for some reason. Everything seems to work fine except one of the buttons which when pressed registers as the Z axis rather than a button.

ANyone else have this problem? I'm afraid it's because I screwed up when modding although it doesn't seem very logical that it would recognize the button as an axis that doesn't even exist.

Unfortunately, I don't have a 360 or another xp machine to test it out on.

use xbcd drivers instead of the default drivers. and use xpadder if the d-pad/stick is only recognized as the pov
