The wife and I just got back from watching this film - I liked it and so did she but we seem to be in disagreement over something here. So spoiler time....

when the outbreak officially reaches critical and the military decided to fire-bomb the city, I felt this was unrealistic only in the matter that the weapon they chose wasn't a significant enough of a weapon to get thing back under control. ie: 100% contained. I think they would have used a nuke to decimate that one area to be assured that nothing got out.

My wife thinks they wouldn't at that point, and that they would exhaust all possible options before going nuclear.

I have nowhere else to run too. What do you guys think?

The wife

Go read the other spoiler filled thread.

1. No firebomb should have been needed.

They have damned machine gun positions with people running in huge bunches toward them. Once the guy said "that's it, kill everyone" the movie should have been over.

Considering the infected's ability to hide in alleys to from Firebombs, I think they would be able to hide from nukes.

You can't stop them, they are going to run toward the efifel tower, no matter what you do.
