Xbox Live: Gold vs. Silver Membership

I'm getting an Xbox 360, I've been playing on regular Xbox up until now. I'm not sure, but I think I only have a silver membership. Will that be good enough to play AE, download hyper fighting, and download the new ST: HD?

What's the difference between Gold and Silver membership?

With silver you wont be able to play any games online you will only be able to download Gamer pics, Demos, etc.

If you were subscribed to XBOX Live via your original XBOX, you should be able to recover your gamertag on your 360 and continue using that subscription until it runs out, at which time you can renew from your 360.

If you have live member ship at all with the orginal Xbox then you have gold with 360

Gold = Play games online / browse Market Place
Silver = Browse Market Place
