I remember my friend's cousin came over to my house a few years ago and showed me some script kiddie stuff...lol, those were the most fun times I ever had on a computer. I forgot the name of the program, but it was called "Theef" or something, it was pretty funny to mess up your own PC. He told me to get people's IP addresses through AIM - he showed me - but I thought it was retarded. Ah, oh well, good times.

Funny story, lol.

I like how even though there's absolutely NOTHING to fear from the guy, he was still worried that somehow, miraculously, he'd be hacked.

Of course, he didn't and we all have this great story today.

Rereading it again, you're right.

My bad. It's almost 3 am here, long day and I'm tired. Oh well.

Still funny, regardless.

The sad part about this is that the quick times he was back online after the initial PC crashes might mean he was on other, innocent computers when he screwed up those other times.

1. No. 196.128._.___ is usually the ones associated with a router. 127.0.0.1 translates into 'localhost' which is basically your computer.

2. Yes, he did. Not hack. Just deleted his own hard drive and got the ownage lesson of a lifetime.

Owning yourself deserves a special word. I really can't think of one.

Fortunately, I was able to dig that up. It's a pretty funny read.

I also like the ZDNet poster who swore up and down that it was impossible for Linux to run a computer by itself and that Apple was somehow tied with Microsoft.
