As we all know, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection ONLINE is coming! Famitsu brings us new details and images from the upcoming upgrade. Click below to check out the new pictures and info!


From the latest reports, we can see that T5DR ONLINE’s interface will support a battle lobby where you can create and search for “battle rooms” to duke it out with others players. Each player has their name listed as well as a flag, which is good news, and indicates international play is likely.

While in battle rooms you have the option of inviting friends, viewing other people’s profiles, kicking people from the battle room, and even changing your starting position from first player side or second player side.

One of the best features to be unveiled is the existence of VOICE CHAT and the ability to have ranking matches with other people ONLINE.

We here at SD TEKKEN are extremely excited and will continue to bring any and all news on this title in the future! Stay tuned!

Besides, the closest arcade with DR around here is about a 20 minute bike ride followed by a 5 minute train ride. Actually, that's really the closest arcade worth mentioning period. The only one closer only has KoF 2K1 and SvC, I shit thee not.

The only Namco fighting game you'll see on the 360 is Soul Calibur 4, which if each succeeding game in that series is any indiction will be awful.

i dont know if this makes any sense but im worried about DR online gameplay feeling a bit cramped

a game like soul calibur has more room for the amount of different types of players you'll find online

If you buy a playstation ticket for that region and use it to buy the upgrade, no, you won't have to buy the game again. Otherwise, yes.

Well, there's a possibility that this might float over to the North American PS Store this Thursday, but I doubt it. I'm guessing we'll have to wait sometime late next month.

Tekken 5:DR online is up on the Japan and Hong Kong PSN stores. Hopefully up on the US store within a few weeks.
