When you first start, set up your buttons for P1, and make sure P2 buttons arent the same or are keyboard only functions.
Thanks!

after screwing around with it after awhile i somehow fixed the button being pushed down problem but im not sure what i did lol. I think i had the input screen open for the game and at the same time i was calibrating my buttons through windows and trying to match the button i was pushing and what button was selected on fba. After tapping the buttons and checking them, i looked back and my button was no longer pressed down...not sure if the calibration fixed it but its worth a shot.

I had to go into the config and manually put in the inputs. edit: meaning open the cfg file and make guesses as to which buttons were which, took like 30 minuutes.

I have SmartJoy PS2 adapter using a custom-made joystick and I had to manually figure out which switches represented specific buttons by doing trial and error.

I have similar problem. I am using USB 2.0 Smart Joy adapter to PS1/PS2 dual shock pad. It looks like lk is somehow binded to my directions. When I press down it results in dlk.
for those still havin problems try usin xpadder. it works.Xpadder = truth

I normaly use PS1 pad. When I configure it simple down direction results in d+lk. When I try to use dual shock same thing happens but with strong kick. I tried to congifure it in the cfg file but its the same. Any suggestions?

I'm using EMS USB2 convertor with a Tekken JP (sanwa) stick. First you do need to plug in two controllers (or else it'll say something like Joy 2 down is held down when nothing is plugged into joy 2). Second the problem I still have is just like Mono. A simple down will result in d+hk (some kick depending on how you set the pad).
I tried using my convertor with Kawaks - and I do not have this problem. It works perfectly with Kawaks. I think this is a Final Burn problem.

I tried Xpadder as people suggested and it realy works.
http://xpadder.com/index.html
Activate you buttons in the menus. Than close the pink screen, another one apears and in there add the keyboard keys corresponding to the buttons you have activated before. So than you have pad that acts like a keyboard and the problem is settled, but keep in mind that its working ONLY when xpadder program is activated. Dont close xpadder. Also remember to config keyboard buttons in F.Burn input menu.

I had the same problem. Ended up using Joy2Key to setup my joystick to work as a keyboard. Thats all i can suggest to do for now.

It should still say the 6 button is held down, but it'll work anyways. Great program

I had the same problem I tried both my pads (my new Logitech PC pad and my near-broken Gravis crap-ass pad) and they both said the 6 button is held down or something.
I manually changed the code in the cfs file, but it's still a pain not to have HP assigned to the R1 button
What's the deal?

but ONLY use xpadder / joy2key for whatever button Final Burn thinks is held down. Don't use xpadder / joy2key for your entire pad or else you're going to end up missing a shitload of CC activations and supers.

Care to elaborate? I wasn't able to press ANYTHING on my US T5 stick unless I mapped my buttons on XPadder. Otherwise, it kept saying that the 0xff key was pushed and was waiting for it to be released.

Odd. It kept having a button pressed down last night. But when I turned on my computer to test it out, everything worked great.
I guess it was because I plugged my converter/stick in while the machine was on, and not before I booted up my PC?
Regardless, it works.

I had something along those lines, and it turned out the button on my pad that was similar to a start button was a toggle, so it would have to be pressed again to turn it off as opposed to it being off as soon as it is released.

I have a xbox to usb joystick and using the xbcd driver was able to solve my push button issue. If you are using a xbox controller to usb w/ XBCD driver.
Go into Control Panel.
Select Game Controllers.
Click Properties for XBCD Setup
Select Button that is the problem etc: Button 7 for me. (The button will be blue and not being used)
Click on button, select none. press ok. Then go into
Windows on xbcd and select your exact number of buttons,
being used. Press apply and that solved my button issue with ggpo.
Go into Final Burn and input your joystick and buttons. Have Fun!
Hope this helps somebody who has been having issues. Thanks
