Questions:
- Is Eek! The Cat released for the Nintendo Super Famicom?
(I usually use MobyGames to check for it but it shows only the USA version.
http://www.mobygames.com/game/snes/eek-the-cat)
- If not, can someone confirm if the USA version works on the Nintendo Super Famicom?
Things I do not want to do:
- I do not want to play it on an emulator
- I might be better of playing Lemmings, however I really do like that Eek! The Cat game.
- I do not want to modify my Nintendo Super Famicom.
What is the deal?
This weekend I picked up Eek! The Cat PAL version for the Super Nintendo from the bargain bin.
I think this one is for the UK market considering the serial number, SNSP-E7-UKV.
I put the cartridge in my Datel Pro Universal Adapter.
The game did start up,
I could even go in to the options menu.
The problem starts when I actually want to play the video-game.
When I choose start on the title screen it displays the following:
This game pak is designed to
run exclusively on European
SNES control decks and will not
run on U.S. systems.
Ocean Software LTD.
Even though it is on a Japanese system.
So I guess the game pak does a 50 / 60 Hertz check but after the title screen.
I got something like this when trying to play Korean Super Comboy video-games.
