Yeah, Needless to say I was a little "P'd off" after that...I mean, that was a shot in hell head stomp too man, After I saw that, you saw the delay I took to even hit the rematch button. I was just in complete shock and was royally upset...which is why in that last round I just threw in the towel, that was complete and utter bullshit...I love 3rd Strike...but sometimes this game is no better then Gears Of War with some of the bullshit that happens. Maybe it's Xbox Live or maybe it's the game itself...all I know is, not to sound bitter or like a sore loser...but that shit shouldn't of happened.

The connection was good and I'm a stubborn bastard. I'm not suggesting that you mash buttons all day. Not for a second. You played quite a structured game.

But blocked hurricane is a bad thing to have happen that often. XBL just doesn't pay dividends in this area. It becomes as much a 50/50 in your favour as it is mine :(

It's not exactly the same for you. I know my play is far from great, but I could probably count the number of times I whiffed a hurricane (in the entire set) on one hand. The number of punishment opportunities I gave you was comparitively tiny - and yet you won the set, by attacking more and taking greater risks.

Perhaps my defensive play encourages people to do this. If we play again, I'll make more of an effort to parry and counter. Like I've said, the connection was nice.

It depends where the dive kick is hitting at Xen. Specially if you're speaking about the down, medium kick. Even when it is spammed, if the timing is right, the parry will be a red parry, after an block. Not sure about frame data, but if a dive kick is blocked, and it lands correctly, u can't really punish, unless the kick is blocked very high. (which could had been what u ment).

Extremly gay...and the person I'm referring to when I have those 20 round plus matches with is like in central Canada! So you tell me whats going on then at this point...if he's in Central Canada and I'm here in New York on the East Coast of the States and he can play me like he lives next door or something then whats the deal with everyone else?

I hear ya. It happens to me too. I've been hating XBL lately cause I can't get a good connection. So I've been playing at the arcade more frequently. I think it's the over flood of users on the same set of servers. I don't think Microsoft has up the hardware resources they need to support both 360 and OG Xbox users. It doesn't help that you're on the east coast and I'm on the west coast. But GGs anyway. I can see why people mentioned you for one of the top Makotos.

I think your Makoto has definitely improved, and I saw it when I played. I admittedly was a little rusty cause I haven't played in 2 months, but when I picked Ryu, you just gave me the business each time and the one match I won you still came back, and forced me to go with Ken.

Your SA2 set up combos are on point, and do massive damage for you everytime, and I think you improved on that the most, and your overall game seems more formed and less sparatic, and it looks like you are analyzing a lot more for opportunities.

I think you could be a loooooooooot more dangerous if you were more aggressive. Everytime it seems like you backed your own self in the corner, waiting to get off the super combos, which made me never fear being hit and often be the only reason I would win, is because you let off of me. So I think if you can get more aggressive, and combine it with your SA2 set ups, I think you'd be a lot more beastly and a force.

Sorry kowcainpanda. See BG's thread. I've seen that kind of play a hundred times already. Dash punch is hugely punishable. Blocked Q SA1 is hugely punishable. Or at least it should be... I should have just not rematched, but eating a throw whilst I tried to punish your whiffed super pushed me over the edge. I hate to sound arrogant - everybody knows I'm not good - but I'd wipe the floor with that kind of play in a fair connection. It's barely worth playing against in the connection we have. :sad:

For what it's worth, I'm sorry I dropped. You've always struck me as a cool guy. I guess we both just want different things out of the game.

Now that's what I play XBL for :tup: I got my ass kicked all over the place. :lol: My execution was attrocious and I was uber-slow to follow through on the very few Chun hit confirms I actually managed to land. I got a lot of stuff coming out that I didn't want, and I really hope it didn't look like desperation spamming and whatnot. Connection seemed up and down, which I think may have contributed to my already shoddy input.

I don't know if I'm playing Chun from completely the wrong angle. I got a bit carried away with watching my ranges and just hitting the appropriate HP when you got close. Seems to work a charm - which probably indicates that it's XBL bullshit :)

I cammed the entire set until I ran out of disk space, though I suspect I do something utterly stupid and make us both look like noobs in very round :) I haven't watched through the matches yet, but we're well on course for a 30 game set, which features a grand unified total of less than 30 jumps! :rofl:

Actually I think you played Chun perfectly (minus the hit-confirms :razzy:). From my understanding Dudley can't punish a max range far st.hp apart from maybe a parry, ducking xx SA3?? Either way, those matches were incredibly tough because I just couldn't get in a comfortable range the whole time.

As for Yang, I kinda got more comfortable with him as the games went by. Added to the fact Urien doesn't have a good reversal or ground punish outside of Aegis AND it's XBL means that I can try all sorts of crazy ground shit :nunchuck:

Everytime it seems like you backed your own self in the corner, waiting to get off the super combos, which made me never fear being hit and often be the only reason I would win, is because you let off of me. So I think if you can get more aggressive, and combine it with your SA2 set ups, I think you'd be a lot more beastly and a force.

I'm not looking to start an argument either and I'm not making any kind of judgment on your ability to play well. I've no idea how well you'd stand up to offline competition, because I haven't seen you play in a legitimate way.

By saying that you'd play differently in a better connection, you're effectively admitting to lag abuse. If you play online and pander to the connection, the wins you amass and the experience you gain is going to count for nothing offline.

You might, like a lot of players, reply that you aren't interested in offline play. To anyone with that mentality I'd ask; How can you possibly prefer the dumbed down clunky, repetitive roulette that passes for online play, to the rich, in-depth strategy and scope for skill that is possible offline?

I've been playing for a while and seeing people like Euwat, who are still playing the same bastardized version of the game that they were 2 years ago (without any hint of improvement), makes me wonder why they bother and what they can possibly get out of playing such a tedious, repetitive game-plan.

I'm improving slowly and I'm finding that as I do, my patience for online play is growing paper thin. When I run into people who play a lag abusive style and get a decent connection, they're no challenge at all. Losing badly to the same sort of stuff in a poor connection is ridiculous.

We both had about 10% energy you jump in on me and air parry as usual, so being that I was akuma I did a shoryu xx sa 1. But thanks to lag you landed before my shoryu came out. You ground parried the shoryu and then blocked the super then grabbed me ftw. :wasted:

Yeah I can play with pretty much every character except Ibuki. But I have to say, you have an impressive amount of patience and how safe you play is fuckin unreal. You and SneakyRazor are probably the two toughest people I've fought on live mainly because my weakness is that I have no patience, I probably should've stuck with some of the characters I was winning with but after I while I start feeling lame if I can only get wins with certain characters. Cruisin N Boozin is also one of the best I've played, he plays a killer Urien.

I have mad respect for you and I really wish I lived around you so I could learn more about 3S. Your abilities in zoning are just amazing. I think I only won 5-6 rounds total out of our 16 matches today but I learned a ton in the process. On top of that, connection was great. Most fun I had in a looooong while. Yeah GG. I would strongly advise you to not try to high parry on wakeup 95% of the time, that shit was getting you killed hard. Also relax on the random and wakeup supers.

Lol. That's funny cuz i had some things to say about you, too. You seem like you have a good understanding of this game sometimes but then you just do sum dumbass shit. There is something with every character that you do that's XBL scrub shit. But to be fair, there are some cool things that you do with most characters as well. I'll go through your characters:

Alex: Simple-minded throw traps (walk up jab into power-bomb). Random flash chops is not a good move to use when you're trying to space someone. <-- XBL scrub shit. You use the Air Stampede move excessively and stupidly (i.e. O shit, he blocked my move, i better air stampede. lol) <-- XBL scrub shit.

Akuma: One word: Hurricane Kicks. lol. <-- XBL scrub shit -- Positive note: when you weren't spamming hurricane kicks, your akuma looked REALLY good. You had some good combos down and your mix-up game was used well.

Chun-Li: You would play patiently for most of the match but when you were down you would start to chase me down and that's not her game. Keep the spacing going. O, yeah... ex spinning bird kick 3 TIMES IN A ROW is not a viable tactic. <-- XBL scrub shit.

There were situations where you could have really punished me and you threw out jabs which means you were mindlessly smashing the button. <-- XBL Scrub shit. Use your jabs wisely. Throw out one or two but dont mash on the button with wild abandon! You spammed the shit outta those body splashes whenever i was in the corner and i was making you pay. Ease up on those.

Ken: This ones easy -- Double shoryuken's <-- XBL scrub tactic. Plus you would cover any whiffed or blocked move with a shoryuken (shit, he blocked my sweep... i better throw out an SRK). C'mon, Man gimme a break. You're pressure game was pretty good with him, tho. You need to mix it up a little more with him when you're pressuring someone on wakeup.

Makoto: Lol. 4-5 Hayate's in a row <-- XBL Scrub shit. This is just stupid. Plus you didn't really have any understanding on how to trap someone with a hayate. She seemed (to me, at least) like your weakest character.

Necro: There was nothing too bad about your necro. You would do excessive Air drills but other than that he was ok. Nothing special but nothing terrible either.

Urien: Random shoulders will get you nothing but punished (especially when you have no meter stocked... that's just retarded). Violence knee drops on MY wakeup... x2!! <-- XBL Scrub shit. Headbutts after every whiffed or blocked move. <-- XBL Scrub shit.

Like i said, i think that you COULD be good but until you eliminate these stupid habits from your game... you won't be. Nobody is perfect but all these simple-minded tactics can only be done online. Try doing 2 SRK's offline, random headbutts, or 4-5 hayates in a row... you would get your ass kicked. Not just by me but by ANYONE who has even a minor knowledge on how to play this game properly. I dunno, if you wanna get pissed at everything i just said and start an argument... that's your perogative. I'm not gonna argue. Lol. That's funny cuz i had some things to say about you, too. You seem like you have a good understanding of this game sometimes but then you just do sum dumbass shit. There is something with every character that you do that's XBL scrub shit. But to be fair, there are some cool things that you do with most characters as well. I'll go through your characters:

Alex: Simple-minded throw traps (walk up jab into power-bomb). Random flash chops is not a good move to use when you're trying to space someone. <-- XBL scrub shit. You use the Air Stampede move excessively and stupidly (i.e. O shit, he blocked my move, i better air stampede. lol) <-- XBL scrub shit.

Akuma: One word: Hurricane Kicks. lol. <-- XBL scrub shit -- Positive note: when you weren't spamming hurricane kicks, your akuma looked REALLY good. You had some good combos down and your mix-up game was used well.

Chun-Li: You would play patiently for most of the
